You planned and carried out a surprise attack in cooperation with the DS on turn 4, your recruitment pattern and your army moment reveals that this has been your plan from early on (neutral, yeah right!) and you and the DS are loosing the battle of the Rhun area. The starting premises of this battle should have led to complete DS dominance in the Rhun area, and the begining of the FP demise. Instead you turned it into a pebble on road to DS defeat - please keep up the good work. You had all the aces, and still you lost the game…

I thought it was againts the house rules to join as a neutral with a buddy. Especially when your declarations coordinate as nicely as they do. Maybe I remember wrongly; if so I’ll join with a couple friends of mine next time and we will play Corsair/Harad/Easterling and decide who wins the game…or maybe just take on both teams.
Three neutral declarations towards the dark on turns 7 none gone free, dunland out and the last undecided - how poor do you guys expect the DS to play in this game??
Yeap sure is a fair exchange! Counting on winning this game already… Heck I have yet begun to fight… I did exactly what I had intending on doing… The Fp actions in response have actually been slower than I expected… Rather quite slow and indecissive… Pinning down 3 armies on turn 6 and 3 on turn 7 losing only a town and Taking MT/fort your capitol and another town… Yes that is fair for me even if when I lose my other origonal town.
Only pure luck has saved you so far… Assasinations only work Once with me but don’t take my word on it try again!
Not sure who you are referring to. I joined this game as a neutral a while before it started. I know some players on both sides, and I know 2 of the other neutrals (well…1 of the other neutrals now… ;)). One of whom I haven’t seen or heard from in years and thought he was out of the game. In the event we’ve had discussions about various topics, well, that’s what communication is all about. Any actual allegiance decisions have been quite independently come to. Believe what you will, but there was nothing untoward going on in this game. Some surprises, some pleasant, others not so, nothing different than any other game.
Now, I like your line of thinking, though. Every now and then I poll the other neutrals in a game to try the Third Allegiance option in 1650…

The behaviour of neutrals in this game has been very different form normal. Those we had communication with all turned dark (guess we should work on our communication skills :rolleyes: ) and in some cases on an early point giving it very large leverage in the game. The military superiorty of FP early in the game, got soaked up by neutral declarations - ensuring few gains, giving the DS the time needed to get their character game into full action.
Why are we playing this game?? IF you guys (neutrals) allready decided the faith of this game - we shouldnt have chance playing 13 vs 10. Of course it looks a little better with 13 vs 11 if the Corsairs join us, but still you had all the surprise declarations in your favour - I hope you enjoyed the challenge.
Everyone’s always bitter about neutrals. Rhudaur told both allegiances that I wasn’t making demands but I wanted to hear offers. I got 1 concrete offer and I took it. That’s how it works. Nothing was predetermined and the Neutrals weren’t working together. I didn’t know Easterlings were already working with the DS when I joined, and whatever Harad and Corsairs end up doing is their business. Personally, yes, I’m about to really start enjoying the challenge - Come on Herman! The Three Nations of the North Kingdom are about to start their final Civil War! The Kin Strife should have nothing on us!

Come on now… As I stated in my personal emails… I planned at game start for a challenging game… I even told the DS team I initially planned to go FP at turn 0… It was the Corsairs threat that forced me to go DS… The fact FP was doing so well is why I had to attack NM capitol earlier than I would have wanted to.
Now for your your situation… If you can’t win as a team even 15/10 in any game format your just an average player/team… In the end no matter what the odd’s are unless it’s 2 to 1 it’s best teamwork that win’s not who get’s the most nuetrals.
As far as Rhuadar goes if I played them I 90% time would go DS… being Rhuadar going free is to boring to think about. So only time you would get a Rhuadar to go free would be by a Front runner type player who desires an easy win.
This is just a wierd game where Nuetrals actaully decided the fate which side the Nuetrals joined not the diplomacy of the FP or DS… Those are simply the facts.

Doc, I’m surprised by your comments. Not like you to be so sour.
Look to your own camp before throwing stones. NG and Cardolan made the decision easy for Rhudaur… FP may be in a better position to attempt “big stick” diplomacy, but that still doesn’t make it a good idea.
Anyway, as far as I am concerned, the bloodier the battle the better. Cheating in a game played for enjoyment makes absolutely no sense to me, and I wouldn’t be on the team if that kind of stuff was going on.

Arhhh…I guess your right. I’m not really sour. Its just the last three games I’ve played the neutral went 4-1 with the last one being crippled…and I was hoping for a slight variation. Sorry if I seemed grumpy.

Besides, it’s not all bad. The 4-1 in game 13 hasn’t hurt you in the least. Nice of Rhu to wait for WK to bankrupt before going DS, and Duns to delay declaring until after Rhu was dead. Arth & Card must be laughing their asses off…
