Yes, It didnt change alot in game 13 because of the absurdity of the timing - just kept the western nations from boring themselves to death. In game 75 it decided the faith of the game more than anything else.
[QUOTE=HolyAvenger;. As I stated in my personal emails… I planned at game start for a challenging game… I even told the DS team I initially planned to go FP at turn 0… It was the Corsairs threat that forced me to go DS… The fact FP was doing so well is why I had to attack NM capitol earlier than I would have wanted to.

Perhaps now is the time to acknowledge the alleged Corsair position was a trick by a desperate DS?
Yes, dear friends and fellow ME gamers. A DS pal of mine (who will remain nameless) told me the DS were having their rumps handed to them and asked for a ruse to stabalize the game. I am not in this game but I conducted the ruse, which seems to have worked rather well.
Life’s Lesson #44: Things are never what they seem. If you think you understand the situation you may be fooling yourself.
No If you go back to forum posts… way back on turn 1 Corsairs definietly threatened me and sent both myself and harad Lame diplo’s. Situation on turn 1 really favored no side at the time.

Are you sure this came from the Corsairs??
Ed, please resist the temptation to stir the pot…
I would not think Me Games would let another nation send a Diplo through thier officail site not from that nation.
They did not. The GM played a zero role in the ruse.
Nice try. LOL but I did post my email addy early Corsairs had thier chance to email me directly now they are toast!

I know you enjoy mischief, but this is a little much considering that you’re not even in the game.
Anyway, the facts are against this line of crap. At no point in this game have the DS been in dire trouble and this threemonkeys31 character started posting to the game thread right after the first update… so the reason you gave for conducting the supposed ruse doesn’t mesh very well with the actual situation.

Guys, get a grip. The Corsairs never posted on this board. The Cosair player sent a couple diplos via MEGames to the other neutrals (Yes, it was pretty lame). The stupid posts threatening the Easterlings were never in any way the work of the Corsairs, they never even claimed to have been the Corsairs.
Also MEGames doesn’t own this site. It’s the internet for crissake. Believe your pdf, take everything else on Trust, live and learn.
Really, this is simply amusing, and I don’t see how any of it actually matters “In-Game”. Ed. Ed Ed Ed…
Bollocks, Corsairs and Harad on one side is unbeatable unless played by complete morons. Let alone 4 of the Neutrals going to one side.
Corsairs declares DS and this game is over I don’t care how good a team is it CANNOT overcome those odds over time. 9 Characters per nation X 2 orders per character X 4 nations = 72 extra orders, 12 characters x 2 orders X 4 nations = 96 extra orders = unbeatable.

I gimme a break. It’s readily apparent you never played on a team with good teamwork then overcoming and winning. I have so if you would like to set up a grudge game to prove how stupid that statemant is i will Gather a DS team against FP with corsiars and Harad against DS with Duns Rhuadar and easterlings. There are no absolutes in this game none… No perfect strategies or setups.
Ovatha
It’s the quality of the orders and their consistent application towards a longer term goal than the immediate that count. Having said that, come get me… it shouldn’t be hard, count the orders up here…

I play on Team Aussie and unless you are playing morons or new players the HARAD/CORSAIR combo cannot be stopped. They go to one team that team will win.
The good teamwork argument only works if you are playing against people who don’t know what they are doing or are still fairly green.
Why do you think that in a grudge game Cors are free and Harad DS? why are the Easties not there instead of say the Northmen or Woodmen. It is to try to get the balance right.
Yes but even if a third of the oppositions orders are duds or stupid that will still give them 64 more effective orders. You can’t stop that sort of weight. It has a cumulative effect over the long term. Having said that I will be leaving you to my Cardolan and Dwarven bretheren as I have yet to win back Angmar. He is pretty much toast and unless you divert some of your troops to his defense (Leaving yourself slightly more exposed) he will fall and be removed from this theatre of the battle, relegated to some poor Mordor backwater, as will you be eventually.

Guys,
This issue about the neutrals going one way or another so early is self evident. The Rhudaur wanted a challenge and the Dark met his demands. He didn’t slam unexpectedly into the free. He hit the Duns and they quit. The free should and could have bolstered them and had one neutral. The issue of the Harad and Corsairs is also being misrepresented here. The Corsairs could have and might still yet be able to become free. The Harad are still neutral last I checked and are eating the Corsairs whole. The worst case is 13 vs 10. Hardly worth tears. If it was a ruse this Corsair debacle then the player should have responded. If the Free feel the game is doomed then you really don’t have many games under your belt and I don’t think that the case. Just next turn someone might leave for personnal reasons or a dispute between people on the same team can fracture that team and cause the coordinate efforts to fail. Then there is the worst problem of all…Special Service!! That has already occurered on our team. Yes the fates usually are spinning out of control in this game and the wierdest things happen. Take the death of Bain or the assassination and loss of the Easterling army. Didn’t I read about 6k worth of troops marching against the dark? We have yet to complete the opening of the game and the sky is falling? We have a word in the states for such fatalistics views…democrate:D Really let’s just play and have a great time. After all who learns much from their success? It’s our mistakes that truly teach us lessons right?
Cheers All
Thank you, I needed to be reminded that I could get something positive out of Dudannis’ death. Games goes as games goes, true, but bolstering dunland was not an option as he didnt communicate, before he quit. But if the DS team doesnt work properly thats great news
Why is it always the guys on the teams with 3 to 4 of the neutrals that always say “Hey tough it out!” but on the two games where I was on the good end of a 4 - 1 split the game ended the turn after?
Regards Herman (Bitchin and moaning as usual!)
Tenacity seems to be in short supply in ME. I was in a game where we were on the short side of a 5 to 0 neutral split. We still ALMOST won.
