Hello Chris,

Note I haven’t used any GM information here - just information directly from the game that our team has acquired. I play in lots of games, and neither myself nor any one of my employees been found to cheat, or use information unfairly. Why - because that would be against the spirit of the game, and plainly foolish and against our rules of conduct.

We’ve played in over 20 games now I think and at no time had anytime been found to be using an unfair advantage. 5 years of running the game has shown us to be honourable in that manner (if we were not we’d have been found out by now I assure you). We also allow that players that don’t want to play against us is perfectly allowed to - we advertise if we’re joining a game.

I could into details of why I think that those particular nations are now dead if you want and why certain of your nations are SS - they are all in game mechanics which I am happy to discuss see below.

You know where I am, so get off your high horses and come get me.

Actually I don’t know who you are or which nation you are playing or that you are even in the game… :slight_smile: As a GM I could find out but that’s against the rules - which I abide by. If you think I am cheating please directly state your reasons for thinking so and contact the office and complain to them as it would be completely unfair for any GM to have an advantage in that manner. If you are not in the game then I find that somewhat unusual behaviour but will take you on your word that you are the CL in game 52.

In all seriousness if you feel that I am cheating you should address the situation to me off list and I will have to consider if I can play on in the game - as it is damaging to the game if I stay in.

I assure you that I am not and can justify the reasons (eg BS capital in the hands of the FK, no Dragon Lord characters in play that I recall - ditto for WK, IK losing two capitals this turn and we think out because of it but we’ll confirm this turn - XXXX player doing a 215 and 920 order… SS orders I think). I don’t know if the Dog Lord is out - pretty close to if he isn’t. 14,17,18,19,21,25 are clearly active though. :slight_smile: Oh Yeh Rhudaur as well - well he’s well dead.

I’m here to have a good time and enjoy the game - something that I particularly love playing. But I also realise my situation as a GM here so am very cautious as to public opinion.

Unfortunately an attempt to bring the game to an end (I think it’s all over in 5 turns for example at most) and enjoy a bit of banter with the opposition seems to have blown up in my and Middle Earth’s face, for which you have my apologies.

Unlike some of the message boards frequenters here who find the time to view the going ons of games outside their own playing, I only post on games in which I participate, or in response to general game questions to which I have an answer. I am indeed the CL in game 52, and will continue to be until the FP find a way to oust me from my position. I think most veteran MEPBM players know full well when the time to concede a game is. Some may choose to ignore that time, but that is their decision. When this game feels out of our hands, perhaps we will consider bowing to your numeric advantage, but as I stated earlier, 11:8 ratio as you put it, where the HA is reeling the DS clearly have a character quality and effectiveness advantage is hardly an unfair match, so play on, and see if you can get us out of the game the old fashioned way, earn it.

Serious question: What about your concerns about me cheating? Do you think that is the case? If not then we can go back to the blagging and the usual in game stuff - my preferred roosting post. :slight_smile:

However, if you do think I am cheating, then I will have to consider if I can continue playing in this game. As a point in my defence: I think that if I were cheating that I would have done something more with the agent action on the Eothraim… :slight_smile:

Based on the relentless defense provided by posts on your behalf from other players, I will allow your actions to determine my final decision. If you choose to stay in this game, then I will accept your word that you have been forthright in ALL cases regarding information gathering methods, and that you have at NO point received any unauthorized information, either by your own devices, or through conversation floating in the air at your office. By the same token, I would expect you to take the appropriate action if you have come by any such information and withdraw yourself from this contest.

I think that none of Harley’s-GMs will take advantage from their positions.

All is going fine for the DS of ME 52, the Free aren’t able to realize this.

Let them talk about their chances to win, that’s something we mustn’t care about.

No information has come my way to my knowledge - are you aware of any that I have? In the past I have players tell me information - despite telling them that I was in the game etc. Having GMed for over 10 years now I am able to remove such information and not act on it though - I just shut up and let the team decide then. :slight_smile: Unless there is anything else I’ll leave it there as I prefer to get on with the planning of the demise of the DS in the game… :slight_smile:

It was the combined forces of Northern Gondor, Sinda Elves and Dunlendings sat in the pub Monday evening that spotted the nation that had ss’ed. When a doubled character refuses and scouts a hex, one can be fairly certain that that nation has been special serviced. Unowned characters and characters turning up with strange nationalities also confirm nations deaths. If you want to hide the demise of nations dont send an Fire King army commanded by Regent Wodurishak up against Northern Gondor (turn 15), that just makes it too easy.

My My Don that has to be tamest abuse so far,
dont you have any other dramatic victorys to boast about ??
mmm let me see i guess not. Well as ever you can see we are
still here , still solid , and still causing you more harm than you
do to us rest assured we are happy with our kill rate and im sure
we will be next turn. Time to start looking for that ring maybe
before you finally lose all your top characters.

Shorty and Grey,

  I was wondering where you got off to - guess it took a day or two to digest the bad tidings of your turns.

  As to my crystal ball, surely it does not work, as I don't have one ! Us lowly Northmen start with no artifacts, weak mages and are still in that position :)

  Yep, you guys can still kill - I guess NG was the flavor of the month, as he put it.  But we are resilient, and he is in nowhere near the shape the Eothraim were in.

Poor old Don
Finally you start to see reality at last and admit some truths
alas your poor nation is still shattered and ineffective.
Yes it took a while to digest the turn but glanceing through
the kills and pop losses i can assure you it was far from bad tidings. As for the killing yes it will continue even more deaths
i predict next turn, be as resilliant as you like but loseing
high ranking charachters will take its toll as we move closer
to victory already it would seem recruitment is somewhat down in the Gondors no?.Give our regards to the Harad by the way its been a long but inevitalble journey but is now at an end give him a MT by all means but his removal is almost complete he is just another shattered ineffective nation.

Well the results are in and what can we say about this turn
little freeps deffinately a better turn for us me thinks!!. But to be fair it wont always be going so well as your charachters as becoming harder and harder to find as they become thin on the ground.But we do so love chipping away your armies as they pass through mordors valleys of death do you think they will ever make it to where they are going before they catch the flu bug going around mordor.Whats up with your only decent mage/agent/emmi squad cold feet this turn? Mordor getting a bit to dangerous for them theese days? rest assured we will catch up with them eventually. Finally to dear old Don we havent forgotton you old enemy as you can see we are closer now to you than you ever could have hoped for.

Once again, I am flattered that you and Eastie think me worthy of your time and resources ! Indeed, your agents are and have been creating havoc. We will see whose side time is on as winter approaches, prices are rockbottom and production falls off even more - even those high rank characters cost you a pretty penny :)

ahhh you are so right Don change is in the air and it seems it will be a cold and bitter winter coming ahead which reminds me
as there are so few decent targets around worthy of my agents
blades i shall send them north to land of the rich Naldo and steal
to there hearts content and keep my coffers flowing with gold.
If you could arrange for a few more guards to be on duty as well as killing them and stealling gold in one move is such a great bonus(rip Thrar III).

Well freaks i mean freeps another turn sees your advantage
slip from your fingers and victory draw nearer for us
allow me to highlight the painfull facts for you this turn
2 capitols lost to us please be mercyfull and allow the NM and Harad to go now it is not right to see them suffer so.
Yet another killing spree for our agents and another i suspect next turn. Osgiliath now in our hands thats gotta hurt.
But what will you do to regain your advantage ? your little armies
running around mordor for 3 turns have achieved nothing but practice for our trainee curse squads no matter i think they wont be around soon. The hordes from Mordor are growing and soon this struggle will end me thinks.
