Ahhh now thats very harsh. I dont see it as attacking anyone, just a
natural selection of evolution, The weak must perish so that the strong may survive and lets be honest did you ever see such two poxy nations as the Sinda and Woodies?. Nope nor me but rest assured i am not heartless , i will make there passing quick and painless.
Dragon Lord
Well in an attempt to end my misery quickly (You have to find me first Dragon boy, we Elves hide with pride!) would everyone consider making this a one week game? I know I’m hating the two week delay.
Regards Herman (Sinda Elves)
Sorry to be the pain in the backside, buyt I for one would like to keep it a 2 week game.
Real life pressures and the amount of other games (me and non me games), means that I would’t be able to take part in a 1 week game.
Dave/Dark L.
Ohh well I will just have to bid my time for that extra week.
Regards Herman (Sinda)
its very tempting, but I’d like to stay with two weeks, too. see it that way: else it would be over sooner, and even sooner for some people
ah Terry, I will forgive you those harsh words, for I know you may be a bit rough on the outside, but really you are just a big softie… you must feel quite safe there in the woods, or is that just the enthusiastic reaction of not losing goblin gate on turn two?
Well me ol mucker
what makes me feel really really safe is watching all those big strapping cavalry boys of the Eothraim heading east, makes me feel all warm inside,
anyways cant stop goto go play hide and seek with the elves , i know im close i can smell the fear.
Dragon Dude
SGO attacks NGO - who heard this?
Er … No. Relations between the Gondors are cordial. I have NO plans to attack North Gondor. So please stop trying to make us have a war just becuase you want us to.
Celdrahil
MMMM last ‘cordial’ relations i heard about was the WK/Rhudaur and we all know how that ended up, go on admit it you wanna slap him dont ya!!
Dragon Lord - lives for the fight.
“Dragon Lord - lives for the fight.”
Hmmm I hope so cause thats exactly what you are going to get. You the NG’s and anyone else who stands in my way of world domination…Muuuhahaha
Got to keep this as a 2 week game, enough real stuff suffers for MEPBM as it is !
I have noticed that some Nations are not well set up for solo efforts at all.
My example is of a Nation that provides excellent characters for a team but is a tad 1 dimensional for effective domination.
I’ve just read that I’ve said “domination”, wishfull thinking or what ??
The intelligence community is convinced that you have been stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, and that you have been harbouring and funding known terrorists. We have been mandated with liberating your downtrodden people and giving them enlightened Eothraim rule.
Hey… stop calling us blonde… some of us are bald and some are redheads.
And the perceptive onlooker will also notice a few undefended Easterling pop centres in Rhovanion. If you stake a claim to them this turn, you can have them(not Easterlings)… else I will be moving to them next turn once I’ve defeated the northern easterling armies.
Oh, and don’t forget, with the southern forces speeding to the north to be killed by my superior cavalry… the Khand holdings will be ripe for the taking.
Michael / Eothraim
I’m afraid of Din & co… can I hire them please… there are some nasty Easterlings stopping me from taking my rightful Towns in Rhovanion… any help received would be truly greatfully received… name the T you want… might be a V when I’ve finished
I do start with 5 armies… that’s the beauty of the Eothraim game… 5 armies and 8 starting commanders… what do I do with 3 commanders stuck in MTs with no other orders to give…
Michael / Eothraim
Everyone’s heard this rumour… it’s been talked about in all the locals all the way from Bree to the gates of mordor… Isn’t it true then yet?
Cordial… are you trying to poison NGondor with some kind of non alcoholic brew!!! That’s got to be the best reason for a war if ever there was one.
Hmmm… if you’re not attacking NGondor… watch out HarCor!!!
Michael / Eothraim
I know for sure that all Eothraim are blonde, because the bald men are sent on a mountain to die and the redheads are burned on a stake - such is the culture you want to impose upon us!
I guess your neighbors will be quite happy about that you are sending your mighty cavalry to hunt down unfortified towns, instead of doing something decisive… lets see how they show that thankfulness to you ;o)
Hi all,
Cardolan checking in. Well turn 2 will reveal more wrt all of the claims of backstabbing, friendship, etc.
Regarding the northwest: WK may well be double-crossing Rhudaur and Noldo. Or, he could be participating with them in an elaborate feint-within-feint and could join them in an attack on Arthedain or Cardolan… Only WK knows for sure and this turn will tell. If he attacks the Rhu pops he’s on, then we’ll know that the dismay expressed by Noldo and Rhu is real. I would like to point out that it was quite ok with Rhu and Noldo when they thought WK was going to double-cross Cardolan/Arthedain (prior to turn one, when they thought he was on their side). Now that he is apparently double-crossing them, it’s not so ok… I believe that this eliminates moral indignation as a defensible position (they can still be mighty dissappointed, which is what I think Mike Mulka communicated quite eloquently in his broadcast email). All along I’ve felt that WK has been positioning himself to go either way. And I haven’t been sure which way the wind was blowing his sails! I’m still not 100% sure…
And then we can’t forget the dwarves and duns. so far they’ve kept their cards close to their vests (Cardolan says, nervously looking east and south, while keeping a watch on the huge Rhu army to the northeast… Yikes, armies everywhere!)
one thing we can all say for sure - this is different! and therefore interesting.
best of luck to all of you out there!
Dave
man oh man…
vultures are a nice lot compared to the nations in this game!
Don’t you have other things do do than to pick on the little, helpless Easterlings? apparently not…
Cowardly Eothraim attack me in the Rhun, Dwarves attack me in the north and both DogL and DrkL seem to be interested in my town near morannon.
I hope you guys fight each other to death, so my townspeople will be able to plunder the fallen… er, you both command orcs, right? OK , no plundering then… oh well it will take weeks to get the stench out.
it’s a snake’s pit, this world…
The turns are in!!! :eek:
News from our war correspondents from the front lines;
The town of Tir Ethraid situated on grid co-ordinates 3028 was liberated from the NGo’s by the LR today. After a pitch battle throughout the town some buildings were damaged and had to be demolised with much regret by the liberators. New houses have been promised to be built when the situation has stabilised. This has meant a downgrading in size to a village but only on a tempory basis so i’m told.
Shock horror :eek: evil NGo troops were seen moving towards Tir Ethraid and the LR had to move out and meet them in the rough at 3127. More from this area in 2 weeks time.
Cry’s for help were heard from the major town of Lug Ghurzun 3822, the citizens were revolting due to the suffering and torment given to them from their oppressive DrL occupiers. In response to this the LR has sent in a “small” police force to expell the occupiers but found upon arrival that they had all RUN AWAY. The LR “small” police force will now stay to stop any acts of revenge from the citizens upon those they see as collaborators with the DrL.
News just in;
The peaceful fishing flotila of the LR has run aground on the shore at 4318. No explanation has yet been received for this from the authorities by sobotage can not be ruled out
Now news from the markets;
Food is still selling at 2 despite the LR fishing flotila running aground.
And other news;
Roving bands of thugs have been spotted at 3624, 4025, 3626 & 3627
More news from our correspondents when they have next filed in their reports
Ian - LR
Gurthlug takes exception to being described as a roving thug, she is at home entertaining and has put her party dress on specially, looks rather fetching actually.
She sent invitations to those “roving thugs” at 3626 and 3627 but notes they have been too shy to respond.
To the Easterlings, as you know there is a better class of Orc and I am sure your the inhabitants of 3319 would rather be under the more sophisticated Doggies then Gothmogs brutal and simplistic leadership.
Unidentified roving thugs also at 3217.

Look at them Angulion, all the world has gone mad. Chaos born out of a dead order. Rhaudaur struggles on and all the world is a stage for such suicidal theatrics? He will survive this fortnight, but all that history will remember of that kingdom is a fountain of blood in the shape of a city. Messengers from the west tell stories of orc devouring orc and men slaying men. We have not forgotten the old ways, and there will be a day for all the world to remember it again.
Murazor.
Hmm, Rhudaur has held me off, and youthful Gildor of the Noldo has brough an army to defend Cameth Brin. These delays are frustrating, and yet I shall find more ways to drown the spirit of Rhuduar in orcish bodies.
Yon, in the distance, come more armies at 1812, 1913, 1805, 1804…
