"I would like to point out that it was quite ok with Rhu and Noldo when they thought WK was going to double-cross Cardolan/Arthedain (prior to turn one, when they thought he was on their side). Now that he is apparently double-crossing them, it’s not so ok… I believe that this eliminates moral indignation as a defensible position "
Dave, as you well know WK had not told either Rhudaur or Noldo that he had any dealings with Cardolan or Arthadain ( both of you took the moral high ground when you thought WK had let slip your plans). You yourself gave extensive comments about your honesty  ; but you knew all through our talks that he would double-cross us and you went along with it.
Thats ok, but don’t pretend that Noldo & Rhudaur had any intentions of joining in a double-cross against you. If you feel that you have to defend your actions, fine, just be accurate.
Just for the record; Noldo, WK & Rhudaur had planned an attack on Arthadain (not Cardolan), though at one point due to bouncing emails, and my contackt with Arthadain, this looked to be called of untill WK started to press for the attack. Then the backstab  , and WK, Arthadain, Cardolan happy to be in bed together, still at least you can now trust each other.
Who will be next to trust this alliance? Duns? Or when Rhudaur is done for, will the vultures seek revenge on WK?
WK if you carn’t be trusted, you carn’t trust others!
Other news; all WK armies moved west, tempting Woodmen?
… they killed our tribe, they kill our creed,
They took our lands, for their own need.
We faught them hard, we faught them well,
out on the plains we gave them hell.
But many came, to much for creed,
oh will they ever be set free…
Barad Dur is now in the hands, of Ren the Unclean… but for how long, he’ll soon realise that the heating bills are crippling, especially when he brought over 5000 troops to keep warm. The winters at Barad dur are most servere.
per prior post: i didn’t know if WK was on our side or not until turn 1 results when I suspected it, and turn 2 results when he took real action against Rhu. I knew he would double cross someone. A: noldo & rhu; or B: arth & card. he said he would double cross you to us. i assumed he said the opposite to you.
re: did I think you knew he was double-crossing one or the other teams, yes, that was my understanding from my discussions with him – that he had positioned himself as giving information from us (arth/card) to you. that was my understanding (prior to turn 1). you hint to the same thing above when you mention “WK let slip your (Arth/Card) plans”. So, i interpreted that to mean that you thought/believed he would double cross us.
If my interpretation is wrong, I’ll accept that too. after all, this game is wierd and a whole lot of reading between the lines is necessary.
“Trust no one! They are all out to get you  and me  and him too. Flee flee for your lives!!!” as Thranduil goes crashing into the foilage quickly dissapearing, his wailing slowly receeding into the distance. Amroth turns to Nimrodel " Has he been at those purple mushrooms again? He knows they disagree with his digestion. I wish he wouldn’t do that, we won’t see him for days now." He sits cross legged with Nimrodel “Well what are we going to do about the fighting in Mirkwood?” he sighed " The Dragon Lord and the Woodmen are at it again!" A loud bubbling noise is heard as Nimrodel sits crosslegged hunched over a crystal orb filled with water, cunningly held in the branches of a finely wrought miniture silver Telperion, " Yeah, he should know better than to mess with that sh%t." She exhales and stares off into the distance, “He should stay on the green, if you know what I mean.” as she begins to giggle. She suddenly stops giggling and looks intently at Amroth " Man have you got any Lembras, I’m starving." “Ohh this is hopeless” sighs Amroth, “If anyone wants me I will be in my tree writing a sonnet.” As he sulked off under the living gold canopy. " I bet Elrond doesn’t have these problems" muttered Amroth as more bubbling is heard from Nimrodel’s direction. “Bloody Green Elves.” swears Amroth as he begins to ascend his tree.
Poor Murzaor. It must be frustrating to see 2/3 of your eastern armies held off by such a lowly force, while the remaining 1/3 gets utterly anihillated. It is unfortunate for you that you could not capitalize on your successful subterfuge, and instead allowed my huge army to return to defend the capital unmolested.
As to your talk of reducing mighty Cameth Brin to a ‘fountain of blood’, that is but the mad utterings of a frustrated tyrant. Oh, there will be plenty of blood, albeit orcish blood. And your feeble attempts to threaten the loyal citizens of Penmorva has lightened the spirits of the townsfolk considerably. They especially relish the image of Rogrog jumping up and down outside the gates screaming “It’s not fair! It’s not fair! They’re supposed to cower!”
So, go ahead and bring your remaining troops to visit mighty Cameth Brin, if you dare. I would be glad to add their blood to the ‘fountain’.
What have my spies and reporters told me so far:
1> NOL, CAR, RHU and WIK are all in a battle to the death - but wait, is that DWA coming too, and which side are they going to help. And what about ART, seems a bit of a dark horse to me .
2> DUN, NGO, HAR and COR are all about to swarm SGO :o . Why, well who knows, but it sounds like fun to me.
3> EAS are being divided up amongst DWA, EOT, DOG and DKL - is LOR joining the attack too, or is he allied .
4> SIN, WOO and DRL are locked in a 3 way battle in mirkwood . Who will emerge triumphant.
5> FIK, ICK and DOL are all kicking DKL while he’s down . Is he down? What are CLL and BLS doing?
Economies must be getting close to busting now  . All that lovely starting gold must be flying out of the treasury maintaining massive armies. And no team mates to send gold to the needy. What’s the price of food doing? Winter’s fast approaching - lack of resources to sell.
To those of you that have sent me your secret messages - Many Thanks. Please keep them coming. I don’t mind how true they are, the more I get the easier it will be to write this.
Well, there are some icons between the river fork to Card’s east. So it’s probably Dwarves (Duns?)… My guess is that Dwarves have thrown in their lot with Elrond and they’re coming to party in Card or Rhu. Noldo indicated they were partnered a long time ago… 'course we all know not to believe what people say about partnerships… lol… Note that both Noldo and Rhu have lost pops so far… Maybe I’m wrong and Dwarves are coming in to help dismantle Rhu? we’ll know soon enough…
Well, quiet bunch. Have we boxed ourselves in staid little corners, cowering alone against the fierce winds of…what, exactly? Dark Lieutenants licking their wounds and retiring, it would seem, what about the rest of you? Many are oddly quiet, have they been bound and gagged in their safe rooms or are they being rude?
Turn 3 and everything is going to plan, which really means I’ve lost all control of even my own orders and have no idea what’s going to happen next. Time for a drink.
Well Mirkwood and surrounds are a hive of activity, Army icons everywhere, not sure who belongs to what though. “Can’t we all just get along!” I dare say I will have to pick a side sooner or later for better or for worse.
