We followers of the FED hereby entreat all Mannish nations of truly Free peoples to harken to the path of Righteousness and Just Rewards. Hear not the words of the Elven Phriepies, and their bastard harpies. FED only wants the skinny, tight-pantie wearing tree folk removed from Middle Earth. Those of us who answer his call shall be rewarded. There is much to take from the EPC (Elven Phrie Conspiracy) - and we can keep it all.
The choice is clear.

Our Western allies have been receiving a lot of attention. In other areas, we’ve been impressed with the overall FP resilience - but you’ve made a very serious strategic error this last turn…one we expect to exploit, thanks~!
FED
Underwhelming. As per above. Thanks~!

now B, we don’t prod the opposition when they are happily playing nicely with our friends…let the sleeping dog lie there while we have our fun. or else I will have to send Gothmog to your door…and we wouldn’t want that would we Precious!!:bash:
Everyone but Gondor is sleeping it seems - I don’t count the Dwarf escapades in Dunland…
You know, I love all the smack talk from the DS. You have 4 neutrals flip, 3 of them by turn 2 and you still haven’t beaten us. Until last turn our Horse Lords held up and defeated nearly every push in Rhovanian. Had NG and I gotten one move first at Ithil prior to last turn, we would have burned a large part of mordor to the ground. We sent Clint and Rob a request on using the secret 849 order of move army first for FK with one army moved 1st from Ungol to Ithil 4 out of 5 times even when we had 2 or 3 armies moving 1st in the other direction.
Also we are curious how the Harad has enjoyed being neutral. We should take 2 of his last 5 pop centers besides anything the rest of the DS gave him.
You should be really proud when you ‘win’ given the fact had we had 14 vs 11, we would have swept you guys by turn 10. This is a “great win” you can all stroke your ego’s with.

Hey SG,
well you seem to be angry that the DS have 4 of the 5 neutrals on our side. All I can say is that we did the due diligence on attempting to recruit them. Are we to be blamed for the decisions other players make when the feedback we have gotten was that the free did not make a strong case for the neutrals to go your way? I would think not. But that is how it goes. And yes your team probably would have ‘swept’ us by turn 10 if you had 4 of the five neutrals…makes sense since that would have place all of the economic power and armies on your already superior military and economic advantages for the Free side. I don’t think you would have had a problem with that would you? But then again, if we made the same argument you guys would think it was sour grapes from a losing side. A poor showing really.
Yes I will enjoy the win that we are working towards. Your team has fought on and made this game interesting and I having played Dklts for the first time I have learned alot about what I would do differently. I applaud you all for keeping together.
I really do hope that you will not take this as sarcasm. I don’t see the point of blaming us for getting the neutral allies on our side when you could just as easily accomplished the same thing. It is the risk you take when you play and there are neutral positions available. At least, i guess, they have all been playing and not sitting the fence waiting for a side to get close to winning and just flipping to bring it to an end. I am glad you chose not to concede just because the cards did not go your way. Perhaps you should play a neutral and make a decision to join a side due to the mythical ‘game balance’.
I wish you all the best and I hope we can play as allies sometime.

Some completely unwanted perspective from an outsider (the gift that keeps on giving 3 neutrals jumping by turn 2 is a game changing deal (if the 4 included the southern neuts the Freep simply can’t recover from that. Their 10 turns to make a difference will be wrecked trying to gain a stalemate with the neuts). (I’d also suspect that if there were 3 turn 2 declarations, the neuts probably didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about who they were going to join :-). You’ll need to question what you want to take away from this game. If you want a definitive proof of your superior play, I think that’s going to be very hard to achieve with the game split (unless the 11 win of course :-). If you want to play for respect - be gracious, thank your opposition, and leave the air clear, and the players remembering you fondly. No one will remember much about this game in 6 months, they WILL remember who made a w*nker of themselves though.
I’ve played MEPBM for 20 odd years (the odd is more about the people than the years and the most disappointing aspect of the game is the sour grapes players who want to rub the opposition’s (or indeed their own allies’) noses in it. Take my word for it, being gracious, congratulating and celebrating the good news for both your allies and opposition will leave you with far more joy.
PS one further thing. Game 82 a 2 week indie game is filling now. I believe there’s only 7 positions taken. You could take it as an opportunity to put your heads together and come up with 5 players who you feel would make solid dependable neutrals. Just a thought…
It’s not sour grapes. I am poking fun at the ds taunts to us about their supposed strategic brilliance and insight. 3 turn 2 flips is not great diplomacy, it’s a tad preconceived. I have been playing since 1991. I guess I harken for the old days when gAmes lasted 30 turns.
The other point is it smack talk when you are wining and sour grapes when you aren’t? The main thrust of my post was sarcasm to both Jerry and brad and the other ds.
