Dragon Lord likes Elf Meet - it took a while but finally a little damage to the Mirkwood area…Looks like I will have to make the Elf City my new capital as it seems you might take my capital this turn. Any chance any of you little Elves want to defend against the little stuby Kingdom? If so, just come join my army there

If it wasnt for the situation at the gates of Mordor, the DS would certainly have a significant upper hand. I for one is getting beaten. And thats from the neutrals…its interesting with the initiative changing back and forth in this way.

What a good game so far. The longest I have been in, for some time, excluding the GB games that never end. Still I do not predict this game has 10 more turns. Dendra promised Mahrcared a fight to the end, and the FP unwisely let him build Morannon back up… This is how I see it:
Harondor is more or less wrapped up. Enedwaith IS shaping up to be a battle ground. The NM have been pushed off the shores of Rhun. The bridges have been down on the Anduin, and the FK controls that pass. Are the FP getting a little winded? Let’s see who wins the race to the EOplex.
I wonder if we are in for a long military game, or will the character game finally come into full swing? We haven’t seen much from FP agents, but then again Ji Indur’s body count is only “average” in this game. The curse squads are developing nicely, sorry to disappoint any FP who may be looking for those kind of arties.
Finally, good luck to all the folks on the Gulf of Mexico coast. I hope you and your family have a safe weekend, and that this second storm should somehow pass you by.

T50! Don’t make us use the Palantirs against you. Maybe we should turn a few of our 15-ish curse mages into 940/432 types. Well, at least I get to practice my dragon encounters. If the good Dr. will pay for my turns after T30, I will share all the dragon info with him
Here is how I see the world in T17:
The party has arrived in Rhovanion. It looks as though DOG beat EO in the race back to the EOplex. Dendra didn’t promise to play fair. BS caught the last FP army around Rhun. Well, I guess we do need to “fix” Rhubar and the bridges at 3612. Who knew we could get 10 DS icons in Rhovanion that quickly. OK, we did have some idea last turn. With that in mind, I think it will be a while before our troops reach the edge of the Misties, longer if Bain should ever decide to send troops east. 300HI to 1714? Earnil must have paid a lot of gold for that kind of help. Hey Earnil, send Dendra 10000 gold, and he promises NOT to send 300HC towards Moria
On to Gondor. We would invade NG, but we face a difficult decision. Use our timber for bridges, or use the timber for transports. Ren is nearly as clumsy aboard the boats as he is atop the architecture. Hoarmurath says he can build boats AND bridges out of ice cubes, but he will only contract the work to Akhorahil. And I don’t care what you may think about equal opportunity, that option is just plain stupid. Fortunately CO landed in Gondor, and we can now take some time before we make up our minds on how to cross the Anduin.
In Enedwaith, the FP made some progress last turn. I think the FP onslaught may have stopped for now, despite Bain’s injection of 300HI. Maybe Argeleb can come up with something better to do with his troops than sit on Murazor’s old mountain lodges.
The character game did heat up. A formal apology is in order to the CL player. Also DOG ate a bit of humble pie, and witnessed what must be a critical fail role on a 690. Ugly, very ugly. Also, apparently, very quick. Speaking of ugly, did anyone count the curse squads who made hits this turn? Wow. Honestly, we probably need to get some of the DS mages doing 940’s, especially if you guys are going to make us do a bug hunt. Although clearly the DS have not won the game yet.
And finally, after many buyouts and several long turns of effort, the economy has swung our way! Elrond should see Murazor’s new mithril thong. I have no doubt he would be jealous. We already know how the elf prince feels about the size of the witch king’s wand…

I was hoping to burn some more dunlendish real estate, but it seems that several dunlendish army commanders finally decided to use their armies to actually defend pc’s…unfortunatly this change in strategy worked. Hopefully that will change.

The FP had much foresight when they claimed this game would become a bug hunt. Elrond appears to have caught a nasty one. Fatal, in fact.
Say, were you guys thinking of hiding part of the EOplex? I suspect a change in strategy may be appropriate. In fact, I think a change of address is in order.
Do you think an assault on Sarn Goriwing wise, inlight of the 8-10 DS armies capable of reaching the EOplex this turn? Just curious about that bit of stratigery. Next up, FP naval assault at Tol Buruth
I see Bain is still sending troops west. Keep up the good work Bain! The pony boys have been bad-mouthing you all game, anyway. If I had to listen to another “how many dwarves does it take to mount a horse” joke, I would have had to defend your honor for you.

I was expecting a bit more of a response from the FP on their agent success this turn. Ah well. Also kudo’s to you’all in Enedwaith. You seem to have won the maneuvering award this turn.
Still, it looks like the remodelling at the Eoplex is going well. We decided to take an extra step and extended the neighborhood to the north. And of course we needed more beach front property down south. After all, winter is almost upon us, and winter won’t help get the chill out of the Nazguls’ bones.
There are an awful lot of your pets in the area, and they are certainly going to be fed this turn. So maybe all our marching is of little use.
