Game221 - Welcome to Saurons World

Sorry this was not made clear to you in the beginning.

There are only 10 on this team. We thought we had 11, but one dropped before first turns were due.

Two of us are playing 2 nations.

Everybody lost interest in this game?

Putting all my time and effort into improving the play of our team and yelling at team members.

Seems to work…stuffed NG at Osgilliath. Now we will see if we have enough to kill it there.

And hay, only one major mistake on the DS side this turn.

PS, thanks for the FP curse arty. We will add it to our collection.

CL

You we lucky enough to go first at stop NG at 3024, no skill involved at all.

Perhaps you should post when you win a battle or take a pop center.

2730 or 2619 do not count? Humm…I count a battle win and a pop centers.

Oh, yes it was lucky. Cannot contest that. As to no skill…

Fortunate for the DS, if the attack had been planned correctly, the DS should never had the opportunity to get “lucky”. Still does not change the fact, it is stopped. At least for a turn…

And I smell the scent of spring in the air…{Ji Indur breaths deeply…ahhhh}…just hold out a little bit longer.

CL

You should look at your map more closely. At 2619, the small army was defeated, the larger army stayed out of the battle was assassinated away coughing up 3 nice artifacts that we will put to use.

Season does not matter, your failure to place adequate camps doomed you on T7 or T8. Too bad you lack the acumen to figure that out. My offer to play for money still stands if you are suddenly confident or we could just meet in person and discuss things if you like.

Steve

Battle win and a pop centers?

I have a short response:

12v11

<<<<Ji Indur suffles through the reports again…thinks about how much he hates paperwork>>>>

Again my appolgies. You are correct about the battle. Sigh…now there will be ANOTHER 20 minute “conversation” with the DogLord commander about battle tactics.

Bad when the agents have to teach the army how to fight.

But we did take the town.

As for money bets, take that up with the DogLord. He brought it up, he can either pull that comment back or step up to the challenge.

And I think you misunderstand my comments. I “hope” we can win this game. I have no misconception about the “odds” we have of winning this game. But the FP have made two critical errors that give some “hope” to our “odds”.

As for spring and camps. Yes, you have a 3 to 1 camp advantage. However, I do not put as much faith in economic superiority as you do. DO NOT GET ME WRONG…I have faith in it…again, just not as much as you. And doubling the DS economy with Spring would sure make my life easier.

As for meeting, sure. Preferable someplace with some good beer. Will Blood & Guts be able to be there also?

I also have a short reponse:

It should have been 12v9 by now.

CL

Then drop the game.

DOOMED as DOOMED can be!!! We are doomed he says. Ren runs around with arms flailing about screaming We are so DOOMED.

This must be that really slow, slightly uncomfortable kind of doom. The kind that creeps up on you like a nasty cold sore. Yeah its annoying but really not that big of a deal.

Of course you do realize that every turn where I actually get a report back is a victory.

Fair enough.

No, it should be 12 vs 12

Do not have all the turns in yet…but I cannot wait.

Two comments,

First…@#**%#$#*@#. How many times do I have to tell you all (my team), GUARD THE IMPORTANT ARTYS!!!

Second to the FP (specifically NG), Wahahahahahahahahaha. (happy dance, happy dance).

The DS lives for one more turn.

CL

There was a slow stirring in the corner of the road house.

“Yes, my Lord?” Not a single muscle in Orthlug’s body betrayed the fear which shone clearly in his eyes. His master was not prone to speech except to dish out punishment for failure.

Murazor examined his servant’s eyes intently for a moment. Nothing in his posture brooked a hint of the small humor he found in what he saw there.

“Extra rations of grog for the Orcs tonight.”

“Yes, my Lord.” The lines on Orthlug’s face diminished ever so slightly. His disciplined body turned tautly to go deliver the message when his retreat was interrupted.

“Oh, and send several bottles of my best wine to Ji Indur via our usual secretive channels. He planned his strike well and deserves better than the fare he will likely find on the road from Osgiliath.”

Orthlug turned slowly back toward his master. “Yes, my Lord.” He paused. His master’s good mood was always a tenuous thing, but when disposed to generosity, his kindness knew almost as few bounds as the intensity of the punishments he meted out most of the rest of the time. There were likely to be more errands assigned; it would be safer to wait until pointedly dismissed rather than risk invoking his master’s legendary wrath.

“That is all, Orthlug,” came the reply, finally. “We have much work yet to do.”

Orthlug bowed and retreated to the door, where he met Lord Celedhring. He deferred to the young rogue mage, then made his exit with the appearance of haste and closed the door. Outside, he paused to listen to what the two commanders might have to exchange.

What followed, however, was a raging howl which was all too familiar amongst Murazor’s servants. Orthlug scuttled away as quickly as he could, bent on accomplishing the pleasant missions with which he was assigned. But one word from that unearthly howl stuck on his mind as he scurried out of the building and into the night: Maranya.

He did not know what it meant, but it was often safer not to know such things. He disappeared into the dark, pretending to be oblivious to the screams and howls of rage eminating from the road house.

Thanks for the new toys. We will put them to go use along with last turn’s donations as well.

Happy dance when you missed one of the army commanders with all the assassins that were there? You were lucky to get initative to stop that army the turn before last. Had you not the WK would have lost his captial. Since you did win iniative we expected the army to go poof.

I know you all are beyond reasoning with but when the DS are defending Mordor, they have lost the game, IMO.
My 6 nations alone are recruting 2600HC per turn.

Perhaps Angulion should seek another’s council as well. He has coughed up the Listening Helm and Elenruth on back to back turns. Many thanks

I get yet another turn!!! Happy dance indeed!

2600HC a turn… wow thats impressive. If you handle them with all the skill and cleverness as the last couple of batches of warriors you have sent our way you will have to excuse my less than terrrified demeanor.

Cost of 4800 troops, 3 characters, a nice little bridge which you burned yourself, time and effort = 40k gold or more.

Wasting it all on taking a village = Priceless

As has been pointed out before, we have made errors and are paying for it. Are current situation is of our own creation and has little to nothing to do with your play. Every turn we expect the end and every turn we see the dawn of yet another chance.

Ren the Unimpressed

Ren the Underplayed, you should not criticize anyone’s play. Denial can be a strong elixir so I suggest you all wallow in it.

BTW what is the KE plan? He appears to be playing the “grab your ankles” defense as the DS loses another 2 villages this turn.

PS A “mishandled” 2600HC is more than the entire DS team can muster I would venture to say and I think we out camped you more like 4-5 to 1.

If you believe we cannot muster that much HC, please let us not dissuade you from your opinion. It only helps us.

And you keep bringing up things we have already admitted to. Can you think of nothing else in your return volley then to use bullets we have shot at ourselves?

And just so we can direct our discussion at the appropriate persons, which one of you gentlemen is playing the NG and Corsairs? Just curious. I have had more dealings with them due to my nation than any others.

NG Capitol… been there. Meh. Maybe one day you will see mine. Maybe.
