Hardcore Opposition Wanted, Grudge offcourse

Hi There

We need to meet our nemesies, our winning streak is 3(4) long.

Short intro:

One player a nation, we set out as 12.
Surprise: we know each other and some of us meet ftf regularly.
No games without newbies (or outsiders) on the rooster until now.

Challenge us please!, What about our Australian mates, they seem to know how to subdue their opponents.

Loke:D:D:D

Well I remain unbeaten in my grudge teams travels and have never shirked a challange.

Or am I to mean?

Vandal

i assume 1650 ???!

William

Oh but of course

Though it seems that as soon as I finish one game another challanger raises a head and they are waiting in the wings already.

Now the only challange is picking one.

Vandal

Greetings

I see, some clarification is needed;
William its 1650, standard neutral split, with fortications in Fennas Drunin and Dilgul.
Frank, we like to challenge the teams in Ainur top 10, if your team is among them, we might fight you.

Our team, Scandinavian2, currently ranked 7 in Ainur, will advance to the 3. position or thereabout.

We are prepared to wait for our opposition some month. If youre interessted and are in the top 10 just mail Clint.

Good New Year

Hya guys - if you’re a team looking for opposition can you get in touch with me directly as I sometimes have people contact me off list etc so can more easily assist you.

Thanks
Clint

Did you guys play team Aussie in Game 89? Or a different Scandinavian team?

Hi

I have never been one to put my name down on any list as I dont rate players on any ranking score but how they play in the field.

I do not think you will find me on any ranking list as I have not sought to be put on it.

But as I dont meet your criteria well you will have to find soemone else harder than me, though me thinks there are few in number

Vandal

Seriously, that’s a poor criteria to judge teams by. For example, Aussie team is undefeated in many many years, but ranked under US2 which we beat twice. Now that doesn’t mean we are better than them or they are bad team, but perhaps you should judge a team by the quality of their players.

Loke,

Am I to take it your are afraid to take on Vandal, for fear of losing to a team not in the top ten, or for that matter not ranked anywhere.

Hmmm.

Tim

Hi John

You may be right, but after 2 far to short games, we really would like some very tough opposition.

Loke:D:D:D

G89 is not us

Hi Tim

Yes youre right, we are afraid:rolleyes:

Loke:D:D:D

Loke: Team Sarumen is rated dead last but it is undefeated in six games and twice holder of the Flagship Cup. This has been so annoying we have asked to be removed from the PRS listing. So, don’t expect the best quality if you only rely on the PRS.

I keep getting a notice (well, I used to…) with the new PRS calculations that detailed my “team’s” rating… I’m on a team that’s named after the wrong guy, and played less than 1 game, but is still in existence on the list. I noticed today a bunch of “teams” whose names are numbers, as in, Game Numbers? I’d recommend simply removing the Team ratings entirely, else rethink them entirely (publish all team members and their ratings, list Current vs Historical teams, etc). Lots of admin, what’s the payoff? As it is, we appear to have a team who is delaying a game start due to these rankings… Irony!

Hi Ed

I guess the Sarumen are down there cause they keep their rating a secret.

Loke:D:D:D

There are some very good teams out there and Ed has a good one and when his done with the bunch he has now, which I think he will beat I will do him myself if the timing is right.

But as i am unbeaten and so is Eds team does that mean as you seem to have a loss we should not play you as you are not worthy?

I will try not to think so

Vandal

Bingo, but of course: trying to overcomplicate something that’s over complicated… Wins and Losses for Teams should be paramount, the ecclectic “calculation” next for interest’s sake. There you go Clint, make these web pages meaningful!!

Brad

Gentlemen

The problem:

We want the next opposition to match our teams strength/skill, an even game would be nice. Fighting a better team would be even better.

Our assumption:

The top 10 teams out of some 70 are no walkovers, there we find an skilled opponent.

The critics:

If our assumption is wrong, well then how do we find our enemy? How do we identify the steamengine from the violently boiling kettle? Its lots of vapor the one has momentum the other is just boiling water.

The solution:

Let Clint fix it. Any other suggestions?

Loke:D:D:D

I will stick with the play those who want to as when you where starting out unless soemone played you how did you rise in the ranks.

I have played one 2 one and won in 6 turns and the same with some games.

But I will try not to turn my back on those who are lesser players as how can they grow unless they play decent teams.

Sometimes I play good teams and others i dont but I will carry on as I am running from none and leave those to scared to play me to themselves.

After all I do not have a empty playig list

Vandal

Hi Frank

Whats the name of your team?
