Turn 3 done and gone and I still can’t believe i haven’t heard from one Dark servant Yet !! Well Witch King at least is hearing me this turn !! Much prefer the beautiful elf women to smelly troll/orc women anyways !!
Let the dance begin as the Nation of Rhudaur lets her army go forth !!
Communications are a two-way street, my friend from Rhudaur. It’s hard to blame the Dark Servants for failing to get in touch with you when you didn’t bother either to post your contact information or to contact any of the DS who did.
Whatever your reason for attacking the WK, the excuse you’ve given does not ring true. Perhaps you just prefer three against one to a more balanced fight.
- Jason (Long Rider)
Jason, are you saying that some DS did send communication to the Rhudaur? Can you elaborate on how? The others might appreciate a clearer picture of events.
Hello Jason ,
Funny – i said that on a post in game 59 (if want to look) when the Duns showed up on Cardolan and was told Its not the job of the neutral to get in touch with the Freeps or Dark servants but the job of the Dark Servants and Freeps to get in touch with the neutrals !! Then was also told that you can send notes/messages/e-mails through to Clint and Co. and have them forwarded !!
Before i even looked at the message boards , I decided for this neutral game i was gonna play it just like that – who contacted me and who didn’t and i wasn’t gonna contact anyone – what i can’t understand – for the life of me – is why didn’t the WK at least contact me at all !! The evils could have asked Harad – he had my e-mail and got it on turn 2 from the Freeps who in turn contacted me on turn 1 !!
When looked on the boards seen you and Orillion who i have played with before and though great am going evil !!
But what it comes down to is what i mentioned – was upset with Duns (in another game) and couldn’t actually believe that no one from our side contacted him so put it to the test here and am really stunned that not one Dark servant contacted me !!
So what i have stated “Turn 3 done and gone and i still can’t believe i haven’t heard from one Dark servant yet” does ring TRUE !!
Please explain how it doesn’t !!
Mike
Hello…all you neutrals out there.I am the FIRE KING
If you wanna talk to a DS then plz talk with me and i shall respond…As for Rhudaur they must choose a side early or loose!::stab:Not their fault i suppose, this game they chose the FP and as for attacking witch king turn 2( well turned up) surly he would have planned this from turn one…so it wouldn’t have mattered if the DS had talked to him anyways.:bash:
I can be contacted at warbandleader@yahoo.co.uk failing this just send me a line via clint with your e-mail address.
Hears to an enjoyable game
We have a very quiet team it seems, and a number of them with working commitments (such as myself). Communication is a two way street though, as Jason has said.
Personally I can’t understand the attraction of going Free as Rhudaur. Going FP this early the WK could well be dead before turn 5 and dragons turning up. It then means that you are miles from the frontlines and have little to do other than building economy and characters for the rest of the game.
Not my cup of tea but it takes all sorts Hope you enjoy the game … until we Mordor based DS burn your cities and butcher your half Elf/half Rhudaurian children!
Hello Blind one and Fire King ,
Up until game 59 , I would have agreed with you that communication is a two way street, In game 59 , I was feeling the same way you guys are when Duns showed up on Cardolan as i have explained !! But after i calmed down and thought about it – the Dun player and evils in that game where right – its not up to the neutrals to contact anyone – its up to the freeps and Dark servants to CONTACT , RECRUIT and PERSUADE the neutrals to join there side !!
I have played with Jason and Orillion before and know those two to be great players and if did like i have always done with a neutral and joined the side where i know someone , i would be Dark servant in this game !!
Would like to know what game the FK is in because i haven’t attacked or showed up as he states on the wk on Turn 2 but Turn 3 – I just got my ME game 65 Turn 3 on Nov 9 , as i would image the WK did also and going by my turn results showed up on WK on turn 3 , unless of course FK missed a turn and i believe this puts you a turn behind !!
But believe me I know how your side is feeling right now , I for one in any game i play in now , will be sending a message/note/e-mail through to Clint and Co to each and every neutral !!
I know Harad , Corsairs and Easterlings also – ask all them – i have never contacted them before turn 3 !! Harad did contact me around turn 2 as he got my e-mail from freeps as i have stated that contacted me on turn 1 !! You guys are forgetting this is a game , I gave myself some rules with Rhudaur – didn’t request Rhudaur – just told Clint to get me in next game as a nuetral – happened to be Rhudaur and not hearing from you guys in two turns , like strikes , figured oh well i am going freep !!
Next time any of you start a neutral nation – don’t post , send note/message/e-mail to anyone or any side untill they contact you and see what happens – thats all i did in this game !! So you really shouldn’t be mad at me as i was with Duns in 59 but mad at yourself for forgetting the game mechanics , cause up till game 59 i thought as you did - just post and wait till the neutral to contact me or if the neutral wants something he will contact me or even , Its not my area one of my other teammates will contact that neutral or this neutral !!
Mike
Hey Mike!
Long time No see! You right in many ways about nuetrals… The aligned sides should contact you once you provide the route by giving your email address to the aligned nations… Only exception I have noted was easterlings… They should contact both sides becuase their nation is at threat of losing towns if they don’t… All other nuetrals just provide a path for communication and wait for the emails…
I’m one player who when playing aligned will attack early silent nuetrals who fail to provide a route to communicate… That sword cuts both ways… If DS didn’t communicate and assume you will just go DS simply becuase it more challenging for you longterm and didn’t communicate… I say it’s time for another lesson!
look forward to next time we can play together! Last time we played together was so long ago I’m not sure Yahoo was around LOL.
Terry
Mike’s absolutely right. There are ways to facilitate communication. Don’t blame the neutral if you don’t know - ignorance is no excuse. Take it as a learning opportunity instead of the finger-pointing sour grapes whinging we see every game when things don’t magically turn out the way we wished…without doing the work necessary to make it happen.
Get over yourself already, some of us play for fun and do not need this preachy attitude. No wonder that very few people of the already small market for this game use these forums when they read garbage like this.
Disappointment is not whinging and neither is pointing out that lack of contact information hardly facilitates communication. Anyway, well done, I have no interest in posting in this thread anymore.
I see you’re not having any fun. That’s neither Rhudaur’s fault, nor is it mine…
Look at it like this: Football is fun. If you run the wrong way your teammates will give you hell and the coach will cut you from the team. Accuse them of being “preachy” if you want, you’re still getting the same results.

ACK! I thought we Dogs were the ones that were the most irritating bark and growlers. Apparently not. This is a game where everyone plays differently.
I know of one player who ALWAYS attacks the WK turn 1-3. If someone thinks as a neutral an aligned team should hack the IRS database to get his address, drive to his house, and beg/bribe to join their side…so be it.
I’ve played over 100 games since it’s inception and learned along time ago to ‘play the cards you are dealt’. Play or fold. Neutrals are the Wild Cards and can do as they wish until they are aligned. Thus the ‘neutral’ tag.
I personally do not see the WK getting stomped any harder than the NM right now, so it’s not like there is going to be a huge imbalance of power by the Rhudaur attacking the WK. All it will do is hasten the WK’s expulsion from the area.
That’s my 2 bones about it
