Someone asked, what resistance to my contracts would not cause me to declare?

All armies may enter my holy homeland as long as you inform me of the hexes (but not timing) in advance. So blocks are possible, but limited, and I may take advantage of that information. However you would not then be able to assassinate or attack me within my homeland.

Outside my homeland you can resist without limit. Curses, assassins, challenges, armies, anything else you can dream of - all are OK.

So for example the only practical defence for 3612 is to put an army on it. Though one might buy some time with a block. My contract against the QA town at 3533 makes more counters possible.

In general I’m playing for balance. So I’ll only make roughly half my resources available to either side. This means that if you put up a fight, I’m obliged to keep coming - and will only accept minor contracts, if any, for your enemy meanwhile. In contrast, if I have a swift success on the contract I’m doing for your team, I’ll be ready for the next one in no time at all.

The Easterlings are delighted to announce a sweet little contract for the pacification of the natives at Jug Rijesha.

This small and simple task is cheap at the price of 4 RAs, calculated as:

We trust that the Dark Servants will put up little resistance, as we will profit from getting on with the Free’s next contract sooner if they don’t…

I must apologise, I first read this after I’d responded to one of your team-mates on Buhr Mahrling. I do not have the capacity to take on both projects at the same time. However after Buhr Mahrling falls, perhaps we could talk further on this subject?

The Contract the Easterlings has built with the dark servants is not acceptable to the free nations.

If the Easterlings wishes to attack the Eothraim (much like Germany attacked Poland) then I take it as a declaration of war on the free and I will respond appropriately without any warning to the Easterlings.

You call it diplomacy, I call it an act of war.

Actually, he calls it Business. Unfortunately, history is littered with war getting in the way of such endeavors. We shall have to see how this plays out then… :smiley:

Thats a good question as I was mainly concerned about the freeps and evils – didn’t give thought to a nuetral wanting to create camps say in those mountain hexes :eek: !!

Well since we are all neutrals and technically Brothers – neutrals creating camps inside my declared borders are ok :smiley: !! But please let me know what hex you plan on creating , because if I send my emissary there and camp goes up on turn I move in and didn’t get notified – I shall 525 the camp on the way out , same goes if place one there and I want to find out who’s it is with an agent – if have to waste a turn sending an agent in there I 690 on way out :stuck_out_tongue: !!

One exception – once you declare for a side then would be considered on that side and thus would fall under the terms I set forth :cool: !!

Well, well, well. It appears that the Easterlings haven’t shown up with enough “punch” to accomplish his contract with the DS:eek:. Bummer! My little major town is still in my control, and still producing nicely. In celebration:p, this pop center will now hold a reproduction ceremony in the honor of their neighbors, the Easterlings. We will need these new recruits for the upcoming slaughter:fork:.

Nice to see we are doing exactly what you thought. We will continue to do exactly what you expect us to do as apparently your hordes are afraid to defend their homeland. Turn one is the loss of your first town, or did you expect a dragon to save your butt. Oh wait, you don’t even have an army defending your pop center. Turn two you will lose a lot more.

And I thought playing more conservative would be a better move. Cardolan said you would hand us 1907 without a fight. He was right, again. I hate when I lose bets to my brother.
