I am also interested, but in a similar position as yourself insofar as I would prefer if it kicked off a little in the future! Are you recruiting for a particular alliance or trying to get 25 players together?

I’m one member of a 2950 WOTR grudge team that has been looking for opposition for a while. We’d prefer a 12v12 or something along that line with no neutrals, but beggars can’t be choosers. Our captain is Alan Gourlay. Drop me a line and I’ll pass along his e-mail address to whoever is organizing this.
WOTR is basically 2950 nations with 1650 economies. It’s good stuff. Most of us are experienced, but we’ll be new to the scenario as well as this is the third time it’s being run if memory serves me correctly.
If at all possible please let me deal with signing players up for a game. Taht way you guys won’t hang around for 6 months that a game that isn’t going to develop. I only put games on the list that I think have a decent chance of filling.
For example the 3wk game 1650 that I recently advertised is looking hard to fill as we haven’t got enough interested, despite a similar level of interest to that which has been shown here.
For example the WOTR variant costs an additional £10 to set-up in - we have to work on the database for a few days to get a game ready. That will certainly put a few players off.
Not that I am trying to disuade you from playing the game! Rather that I don’t want you to waste your time. Get your name to me if you are interested and I can follow it up.

I’ve also talked to old friends from other games and asked them to consider joining…the setup fee is scaring some customers away though…just too high with them playing other games…
