1 vs many (or 1) Scott Moyes

Scott,
All my turns are in now so let ME know it is ok to run turn 6. Good Luck to you this turn. Also, I forgot to thank you for the SE stealth artifact

Turn 6 Quick Results by area in seperate posts:

Scott,

Looks like I had an above average turn.

NW (WK/Rhu Area):

  1. Tried to take out your WM army before it went up to Zarak-dum(2004) with a challage of your sub-commander (I won) and a RIP with agent 90+ net ranking (not sure you know this or not) but I missed. Too bad as that army would have went poof. Looks like I will lose 2004 this turn plus where ever you move to.

  2. Your Large Arth army is now just outside WK capital facing my army . Lets hope my capital army moves before yours.

  3. Won battle at 1907 so WK still owns 100% of all his original pop centers. Now if I can just get my hands on a dragon or three!

  4. Rhu, looks like we have a show down at 1910 with 2 huge armies (Cards and Rhu). Your 8000+ troops vs my 8000+ troops. Looks like it depends on what you have been recruiting. HI wo/no than battle will be real close. If you have HC or armor on troops than I think you have me. My starting Rhu troops plus recruits have been waiting for your Card’s troops. They are very anxious to fight and will get their chance.

  5. I got my first Kill with a pure curse squad of your DW starting remaining army, which had about 1500 troops who went home. I guess you must have left a recruiting force back at Goblin Gate not to have a backup in this army?

  6. I think I am doing well in NW right now. Still have to take out a few armies but I am recruiting well so far.

Mirkwood next - John

Scott,

Mirkwood:

  1. EO won the battle easily at 3112. I had 2k cav against your 6000+ HI.

  2. You are still recruiting a ton of troops in Mirkwood and I see one is on the move headed towards the crossroads.

  3. Not much else to say here except you own 99% of Mirkwood.

John

Scott,

Rhun Area:

  1. As you are aware I took a calculated risk using one of my top agents to challenge your sub-commander and than assassinate your army commander to take out your 2700 troops. Well I was right in that I would be a 2 to 1 favorite but I guess the dice rolled your way this turn and you kill my killer agent in challenge. Good job! Now I think you out number my troops in area.
  2. DW’s army finally showed face also. I think I was right and he was waiting at NM’s capital until NM was ready to move out. Now DW and NM army faces the remaining BS army. Looks like your 5000 troops will waste BS.
  3. SE finally moved off his hidden MT but not before DogL took NM’s town on East side of lake. Now DogL cav will fight SE army. I assume you have been recruiting so I am toast.
  4. 3716 goods army in view but who is it? DW’s from the north?
  5. 3916 DW/village will fall this turn to LR.
  6. Now how to figure out how I can fight you without my agent in area???

John

Turn 6 Quick Results by area in separate posts:

Scott,

North Mordor:

  1. I won major battle with NM at 3018 and what’s more significant is that I was able to take out 2 of your NM char’s after the battle!

  2. EO starting cav still running around (~4600). Took back one of NG’s T/T now just a camp. Now they face a army that wants to run away

  3. 5 other Evil armies in area around 3216. One problem for me is EO will now send down their ~4000 remaining HI from the big Cav battle shortly.

  4. Mordor still secure.

John

Scott,

West and South Mordor:

  1. It was just a matter of time but NG built up the South bridge again and decided to bring over a large NG force but good news here is I was able to intercept him before he got to 3028 (V/T). Now will he move to help North harad or head to Ithil Pass. This is a trouble for Ithil Pass. Fire King get those fires going and get more troops to the front.

  2. SG decided to head back up road from QA. Looks like Ithil Pass will have some battles soon.

John

Scott,

Harad/QA Area:

  1. We had our first major Navy battle and both the SE starting Navy and one of Corsairs starting navies sunk to the bottom of the sea. This is always one of the weird things about Navy battles is that they seem to always wind up with both sides sinking.

  2. Corsairs’ navy outside of SG did a little end around and now is out of site somewhere!

  3. FK army made it to 2730 and will fight Harad army there. Also had LR army make it to harad’s town at 2833. At least I am engaging this area now. Not sure who will win these battles yet but they should be close.

  4. SG’s starting army in South Harad has been tied up defending Harad’s MT at 2535. One of the CL agents decided to take the knife to Harad’s small army commander instead of SG. Now I think we will have SG’s final battle in the area this turn. Does not mean that SG might not send more troops my way!

  5. QA after taking town at 2635 and Corsairs decided to drop in on 2534. Looks like no one is home so will take. This will leave only 2 MT’s of goods in South Harad.

John

John,

Vengence is mine, sayeth the Sinda.

Scott

John,

I would have to say that I had a below average turn, the first one that I could say that (I even had a couple of what I would consider good turns). This turn, way below:(

NW (WK/Rhu Area)

Like I said before, you’ve done some of the best blocks that I’ve ever seen, but I will wear you down. Was really suprised at the size of your Rhudaur armies, darn, who’s funding him? The Rhudaur isn’t a rich nation and to have 8000+ troops would tax even the Harad. I think the WK will withstand for a few more turns, but my next wave will wear them down.

Scott

Mirkwood would be considered “Greenwood” now:D

With just the hidden Sarn Goriwing left it has to be considered a “Freep” sanctuary. By the way, Sarn Goriwing won’t last much longer.

Scott

John,

I was surprised at your challenge, but happy:D .

Your pouring a ton of troops (orcs are small heavy critters, doesn’t take as many orcs to reach a ton as it does humans, elves and especially dwarves) into the east, I guess you could afford to do that with the Gondor bridges down, but now?

This area is highly contested, you’re ahead in it, but it will even out soon. The only problem is that the pop centers are shrinking in size with the changing of hands and the poor Northmen need the gold.

The Sinda has been recruiting, but I meant to move him the turn before and save the NM town, but screwed up :frowning: . Oh, well…

John,

Mordor is secure, but will it remain so? Gothmog and his 1500 troops at Thuringwathost can’t stop me. Gurthlug and his 1200 troops, Kaldumeir and his 1000 troops and Tonn Varthkur and his 400 troops at Morannon can’t stop me. What I’m wondering is, Where is Gratsy and the CL army? Did he get converted to the Ithil? I lost track of him and I feel that’s the key to Mordor.

John,

Yes, you knew sooner or later one or both of the bridges would be going up, and you know I bought out the timber last turn, now where is the rest?

FK get those fires going, indeed. Is this where Gratsy went?

John,

This is the one area that really has me worried. I really need time but your not giving me it. As I said, those NG bridges being down really helped you being able to divert all your other troops from the Ithil to the Rhun and to Harad. I’d have to say that this area and the blocks in the NW are works of beauty for you:( . I hate it, but I must salute you, especially in those two areas (I feel your doing great other places too, but Harad and the NW is a masterpiece).

Duh:confused:

Maybe I should read my reports better before I spout off, Gratsys’ at 3116. Damn, do I feel dumb.

No problemo…

***Hahaha!, I was wondering how you did not know so I was going to tell you today at lunch but you figured it out. I think it is your great spy network that figured it out!

John

***The blocks have been fun. Those allow me to send my main forces where I think they are most needed.
***On Rhudaur, you should have known I had that huge force around as I never used my main starting forces for Rhu yet, I just combined most of them. Now they will have a battle that will be talked about in the bio’s of ME…the question is who will win the battle? Cost of this army…hahaha! Yes, they are being funded each turn  After this turn, my guess is Rhu will have a positive gold due to the lose of troops
***As always, WK and Rhu can not win the battle for NW but they can try to slow you down, which so far has been the case. Lost 1 town and village and gained the MT of Imladris.

John

***For now I will allow you to call it Greenwood. But someday I will turn it back to Mirkwood. Which reminds me, I think every hex in Mirkwood must have a Werewolf, Spider or Vampire. They do not like me either…I thought they were on my side!
***Sarn Goriwing is Neutral. You do not see it raising armies do you? I was going to raise an army there but the Mayor did not allow it. So if you are telling me an army is headed his way, I must inform the Mayor to prepare!

John

***The challange was a calculated risk. If I win the challange, than the agent would have RIP your army commander and there goes your army and the Rhun would be mine with only the DW in the area and an agent sitting at 4013 ready to take out next army or char. Rhun was mine but the key word here is “was”. Now I think you will gain it back over time unless I decide to put some extra resources into the area…hummmm…
***Sorry to hear about the Sinda not listening to orders. Good news here is it allowed you to recruit 400 more troops.

John

***Secure in the short term for sure. Long Term nothing in ME is secure, not even your NE lands. I will come for them with the Corsairs…wait…what happened to my Corsairs navy at 2429??? :stuck_out_tongue:
***Glad you found Grasty and he is honored that you think he is the key to Mordor. However, it is the Dark One that is key…
