1650 ME Game 76

They are very quiet. And talking to Harad and the Corsairs is like exchanging barbs with a roadie at a rock concert. They’re not the main attraction, you’re not quite sure why you’re talking to them, and you’ve got a sneaking suspicion that that sweet smelling smoke in the air isn’t poupourrie.

So come on you Naz-chicken, lackeys of Sauron! Talk, gloat, boast, do whatever you like but say something. We don’t bite (well Terry does but we promise to keep him on a leash).

Gajendra (The Sindarin)

You guys are so awesome!!!

Blind, Deaf, and Dumb Sorcerer

Greeting Sorcerer , actually good to hear from one of your side – I wouldn’t say awesome – but very lucky as if I didn’t know better I would think this was a grudge game the way everyone on the freep side has played so far , everyone is very communative and throwing plans out for this and that !!

Main thing is enjoyment and a little friendly banter on the postings is usually a part of it !! But great to hear from you !!

Mike

Would YOU prefer to stay on a smelly ship or loot a city? Telling them to stay is like telling drunken college guys at a bar to be quiet.

After 10 turns of boredom, having something to do is a nice change…even if it is while getting stomped.

In all seriousness, I think the FP have done a great job in this game. We had some factors stacked against us - a WK who never communicated with the rest of us and of course the Easterlings going FP on turn 1…good thing he’s not nearly as good as he imagines himself to be or we’d probably be out already. Rhudaur, Arthedain, Cardolan etc. in Mordor already has our backs against the wall, but I think that we still have a glimmer of hope and if we survive a few more turns this will remain interesting. If not, so be it. You all have certainly played well enough to achieve a quick victory. What you did to the Dragonlord during the first 4 turns is as good as it gets.

Well now that the Sinda have them the ships are a little less smelly. :stuck_out_tongue:

And yep I think you’re right Banal. The game is still delicately poised, even if the Free are ahead for now.

It’s true that many would not see my nation doing decisive action in this game. I’ve also been extremely quiet on our team board… That would surprise many who have played with me before… But in todays me game every Indie game is like a grudge game… Sorry your WK remained silent. I stated my goals to my team at the very begining… To stay In Khand… The longer I did the more unlikely the DS would win… Had I been more agressive I would have lost more Com’s actaully did less and been knocked out of Khand… So while some may question whether I am as good as I think I am… My team knows I am exactly as Good as I stated I was when I joined them… The results to the FP benefit are clear! Just a little side note… I lost exactly 2 coms in the Field to date… The rest are at my capitol… If I am not as good as I think I am… I can live every game on the difference between what I think and my Opposition believes!

Also note the Ds have not played poorly… In fact extremely well… If they had not this game would have been over very quickly. CL capitol would have fell… Long ago… or the interior of mordor would have been trashed again game over. Taking Oz earlier was a major coupe… As for plain strategy mistakes they of course happened to both sides… My huge one was risking Durin’s Axe early. Was not really necessary… But it did add to the ebb and flow this game became… I could point out others on both sides… But It could delay the demise of the DS longer… Just remember a nuetral declaring early when they are frontline line nation, is extremely challenging and requires nerves of steel! It’s certainly better than being some kind of mercenary rogue nuetral trying to play both sides of the fence… All in all still well played DS… Sorry if I gave your agents fits trying to figuire out where my armies was going.

Never give instructions to a drunken pirate. I told them to look both ways before crossing the road. I guess I should have put wheels on the ships. At least that way they wouldn’t get run over.

Hey ya got your orillion account up and running  ,

But harad – Couldn’t wait for ya to come all the way up to me – so came down to you , but I appreciate the thought !! Darn , But looks like I brought way to many troops !!

Mike

You could always disband some to make it a fair fight. :stuck_out_tongue:

Gajendra (Sinda)

Whoever said this game was supposed to be fair :bash:

The Corsair nation gladly welcomes our new Gondorian township. Travel restrictions may apply:D. To reduce impact on our new neighbors, a clean bill of health must be obtained before departure from the homeland.

Thank you for your cooperation,

PARTY AT THE EASTERLING CAPITAL!!! ALL INVITED!!!

You have been asking for us to stop by for the whole game - we decided to take you up on your offer!

A whole lot more pain coming your way Mr Easterlings! haha

The not so Quiet Avenger

P.S please keep the dead bodies cleared away - it’s starting to stink

Easterlings are glad to welcome sickness squads, Curse squads and all DS at my Capitol! This is gonna be fun!

Chaulk up the Win my allies this game is Over!

Question is One little turn later! was it fun going to my capitol? wanna come there again? Hell i love the attention watching the lame attempts to clear my capitol! Does that army @ 4325 at the Hieght of DS party say how little I have done to help my team! Or how about The QA town taken now catching another Horde DS army only to be destroyed this turn… Or how about the former 3600 pirates at 3138 failing to reach 3538 yet again! It’s just a lone MT in the Midst of the DS stronghold! Eeven in defeat I bite the DS @ 3825… Did a DS army pop… could they adavnce oh yes you assasinated a 30 com lol I can name them faster than the DS can kill them! But can you afford to Fight in backdoor… afford to recruit enough troops to clear my capitol… Can you afford to send The number of Killers required to Clear my capitol… Answer is NO you guys are finished! As now the game begins the Bughunt stage!

Wow! Look at all of those words in a row. If I could focus for that long, I’m sure I’d find the story very interesting.

Hope you or Harad have a back-up ready for the Dog Lord – oh thats right he is one of the few that start with a spare !! And the push on Mordor continues !!

Terry – don’t worry , if they want to hold the front gates and passes they would have to move there agents off your capital back that way !!

Greetings Lackey’s of Sauron…

You have fought well and amassed quite a bit of powerful artifacts and expert characters. However, your time has passed. The shadow crawls back to lick his wounds and plot his revenge.

Now you only delay the inevitable. There is no shame in accepting defeat, you have fought well. But the gate is breached, Mordor cannot be held against the armies of the free, your major towns and capitals fall despite your best efforts of agents and mages. After this turn four of your nations will be reduced to beggars. You may slay some characters, but how many of your capitals fall, and how many more are now at great risk?

You have made some of us suffer, certainly, but even so they still stand, those nations remain defiant. Murazor has fallen to dust, Angmar is no more … Khamul sits in exile, the Ice King also has been forced from his homeland. And soon shall Dendra and Ren. As these nations flee to warmer climes, their armies go with them. Who is left to defend Mordor as stout infantry and knights of the Free Nations sally forth to wash the stain of Sauron from Mordor itself? You have no chance to muster the forces you would need to stem the tide.

And now, too, you realize that the knives of the free have finally become as sharp as your own. The Fire King reels from the loss of his commanders so urgently needed to stem the tide.

Your recent revealing of powerful spells of sickness and such will bring an equally overwhelming response.

You cannot win.
