Game 225 - War Begins

I am the King of Gondor! I just haven’t proclaimed myself yet. Oops, maybe I just did. Well, Arwen moans I’m her king anyway.
OK, stay up as long you want to, but I want that warplan on my desk tomorrow!

No, it’s not late. It’s only past 4 am in the morning, and I’m going to have a hangover tomorrow anyway, so why not sleep it all away. And I don’t have to think much. I just tell my servants to kill and influence, and bring back any Nazgûl trinkets they find. I might go to bed in an hour or two…

<<Well, being wrong is part of being a MEPBM genius.>>

  • Then I must be the Albert Einstein of Mepbm!

Russ

I may be mistaken, but I think the late Zaken’s artifacts might fit well on Elladan. What do you say, son of Elrond? Can you stitch them together and wear two at once?

– Gildring

Elladan, the son of the master of Rivendell, sends his thanks to Lord Elrond and his herald and assures you it will be put to great use in [censured]!

PS. Elrohir says hi too. DS.

<<Can you stitch them together and wear two at once? >>

I can solve the problem if you allow me. He can wear one. He can STUFF the other one somewhere!

Ah, but of course, being an Elf, he may find this stimulating rather than insulting!!

yes they are deviant creatures those elves.

and speaking of where they’re keeping our stolen arties, I don’t want to imagine where they’re wearing the Rings of Wind & Impersonation:eek:

I’m just glad it’s not my job to recover them.

Ak

Stupid elves and their buttplugs.

  • Ben
    Dark Lts.

Maybe he will stuff it down Hoarmurath’s throat and we’ll kill yet another nazgul this turn? We’re going to want that cloak back though, so before you die old Hoar, please cough it up…

– Gildring

"Maybe he will stuff it down Hoarmurath’s throat "

Tsk, tsk, Geldings fantasies get more sordid by the day...has Elronds cold shoulder forced you from his cosy chambers to the front in an effort to forget your indiscretions? Better watch you don`t get a dose of the morgul flu little elfling…

DENDRA the Undead

I don`t mean to ram [the ,ahem, analogy] home, but…

"Stupid elves and their buttplugs. "
Thats no way to talk about Elrond and his "Star-hammer"...thats MY job!

BULRAKUR the Crude

We expect a few characters to fall. But the sacrifice of some like Imrahil and Gildring could bring about the destruction of Morannon, Durthang, Minas Morgul, Barad Ungol, and Barad-dur.

Meanwhile, we’ll turn back the horde at Minas Tirith.

Your SM company can’t be everywhere at once, and now we’re ready to prove our agents are superior to yours.

– Gildring at The Black Gate

You guys are so good to me. Not only did you lower my maint. costs by dropping that unneeded castle to a fort, but you also gave me a back-up MT. Not that I’ll ever need it, either.

It’s cute what you were trying to do. Cute, but overly ambitious. You should have settled for getting Rhun’s capital. You only got that because I decided to destroy the Corsairs instead of sitting around guarding the backdoor. I’ll trade a capital for a nation any day.

I also enjoyed watching all but one of your agents trip over each other. I guess that’s what happens when you send mediocre agents into an enemy City with 100 loyalty.

-Emperor Ovatharuss
The “Other” Dark Lord

The mediocre agents who have lots and lots of kills in Khand? You must be mistaking them for the CL agents, like Lairathin.

– Gildring

There’s nothing more dangerous than a cornered, wounded animal… You elves have no idea of the world of trouble you’ve unleashed.

  • Lord Urzahil

I must confess the Dragon Lord armies are a mystery to me. How did he add those extra troops at 3018 after the battle with the Woodmen? And where did his 500 troop army at 3120 come from? I don’t expect you to answer, but yes, Urzahil, Sauron’s slaves are backed into a corner and these next few weeks will be crucial.

You should hope your intel is as good as ours.

– Gildring

You have good intel, eh? Was it your good intelligence that protected the Northmen and Corsairs? If that’s the case, you can keep it. We’re making do just fine.

  • Lord Urzahil

Hit me with your best shot. Army commanders of the Noldor are always guarded. And my disciplined commanders are ready to take over if I go down. The preparation for this campaign was meticulous: warmachines, food, several commanders, and mithril-blend armor for my cavalry.

You will be CRUSHED at the ruins of Thuringwathost. Enjoy the first round of combat, it’s all your stinking orcs will see.

Lord Gildring

So looking forward to the next turn…i bet you can`t believe that, huh?
Perhaps you are outgunned?
What do you think?

DENDRA the Defiant

According to my estimates, there was a 33% chance our armies would stall at old Thuringwathost, so again you were lucky.

But the dice have to break our way sooner or later, and the DS are running out of time.

– Lord Gildring the Fearless

<<The mediocre agents who have lots and lots of kills in Khand? >>

  • Oh, yeah, you did wipe away a 30-ish new commander of mine last turn. Bravo, bravo.

-Ovatharuss, Looking Forward to Next Turn
