Echo Dave. Game 56 where I’m Harad and Rhu, Turn 4 runs tomorrow and I guarantee the DS in that game are much better off than the DS in 57. Heck, Arfanhil is attacking the Noldo homeland yet with more of his starting pops remaining than here. My Harad is yet twice the size as the one in this game also.
And yes Drew, we all know it’s a long game and anything can and more likely than not will happen. Last FP game of ours, 4000 NG troops were killed by Sauron on an undefended 3224 with nothing coming to defend the plains of Mordor either… Many things can happen, and comparing 1 game to another in such early stages is virtually meaningless…but fun nonetheless!
I did not know you where on the other team. Cheers. Aye its never good for Harad when the FP’s deside to pick on him in the early game. And the cost is always less push on Mordor. It will be fun to see how it playes out.
JB’s a little bitter. Every time someone gets beaten up in this game, they post “Oooh, ahhhh…” messages, then every time they beat someone up they beat their chests. I hereby vow to simply beat my chest. Let our opposition go through the tedious emotional fluctuations - we’re above all that.
Not that bitter, in truth, but the smart thing for a FP team to do is crush Harad as soon as possible. I know you are a smart team, in fact before T1 orders went in I warned the team that the FP (being a team of good players) would likely go this route. But in truth, not sure how much to brag about that - you’ve hit Harad hard with 3 nations. It would be silly for me to say you have not hit it hard.
I look forward to a long involved game, either way.
Agreed! One of these days we have to be on the same team.
Yes. We hit HA hard with three nations, Rhu hard with four nations (five if you count NE/2209 help), DrgL hard with multiple nations as well. I think that’s good gaming - concentration of firepower to eliminate or severely weaken the opposition without taking too much damage in return.
We abandoned Ithil pass and the xx16 row, we ignored the north gate, we ignored the WK, and we exposed the CO & NM a bit. Such were the decisions we made. I guess we’ll revisit those decisions now and address them…
thanks on behalf of the northmen nation. i’m currently entertaining various evil nations, in many locals.
hiya JB. someday, we even might play together.
Actually, simply because is such a commonly held belief, I wasn’t pro-Smash Harad to start the game. But I’m a good “Shut up and do it Brad” kind of team player and all. I’ve also seen this play against the Corsairs, and there is really only 1 way for it to work this early. We shall see if you guys are onto it, I guess…
Oh, and for Drew’s benefit, we hit Harad with 4 nations folks, geez…
Talk about damnation by faint priase. Those FP yo-yos in G33 are just now attacking Near Harad on, where are we now?, turn 17 or so? But, as someone pointed out on this thread, everything is a trade off. In G33, we didn’t take Minas Ithil until T12-14 or so, since that’s where the FP chose to focus.
oh no, its ugly. i went shaved head, hoping it would make it prettier. but, i have to go back to hair, maybe even a stache + beard. the world aint ready for more ugly head. i might even go full veil, to protect the masses. this head, it should be on a soccer field, getting kick around by little kids, spouting insults with every strike.
spent a little time in baltimore this weekend. the city fathers invited me to leave. nobody should pour and serve a pint of guniness it 10 seconds.
uncivilized. i expressed my dismay in both pointed terms and tone. does that make me evil, or cultured? back to war making in this game.
DC/ JB luck in all things outside this game. VEO misses me cause i always type in lower case
SM
perception is everything. wife hates my shaved head, not sure if it’s the shine or all the attention i’ve been getting from other woo’s … fickle, they are. take finduillas for example - enion offers her 3 towns and 5000 mounts, she turns her back on him. nimrodel’s the best though. tarandor’s ring brought a snarl and off she goes mountaineering with a dwarf. not a bald dwarf, mind you, but a dwarf none the less.
