Harad loses his island finally but retains his capital. That’s a lot of agent power dedicated to a rump nation…I wonder what the motivation is…??
Rhudaur is toast, 2 towns, a village and a lucky camp…sometimes we underestimate the impact of fortifications…or dice… Angmar is next. The steam rolls unabated up there, all MEPBM 101 standard, really. More dice went your way in Mirkwood, damn you all…
Sorry we didn’t accomodate your Durthang Blocking Clinic. Reactionary measures disproved by hindsight are always annoying, yes/no?
Wow! My mapping program is filling up with little yellow camps in them thar mountains. Now have you gent’s coordinated your emissaries with your crucial military fronts? I hope so.
The sword of Truth, Light and Redemption is poised to strike. The Undead shall meet finality. It has been seen, so it has been written, so it shall come to pass.
I guess it took the population staring next door at 3 fleets to finally drop the port. As far as I’m concerned in the Haradrim dictatorship they never should have a voice. We are evil after all.
Idiot. If you left the docks up, I would have taken care of this snivelling populace for you. Obviously, your first game. This is only going to get easier.
Turn 6 has run. The DS have apparently fled the south, not including the odd army or 2. Desperate blocking appears in the North. Mordor reverses direction appropriately. I see significant DS losses upcoming, no real FP ones. That’s not good… Good success with camps in the Misties. I expect some profits from these investments to make themselves known shortly enough…?
Brad,
I think it’s quite “Good.” The DS need dragons, lots of them. They better be in exactly the most important armies this turn and next turn or there are big problems indeed for the DS. Lost capitals. Lost nations.
"Here dragon dragon dragon. Here boy… " overheard in the Misties.
the troop count protecting NW mordor is quite problematic. And as you point out, that’s it (except for WK who’s holding his own - Well done so far Drew.)
Not a pretty sight for the DS. But their pride will keep them in for a few turns yet to come.
Let’s see if those dragons come to the right armies or not… Let’s see.
Dave
Yep. The DS haven’t lost and we haven’t won. Still, aren’t the FP about to retake every last one of our lost popcenters this turn? No, not exactly. 3026 (NG town), 3110(NM vil), 4015 (NM town), 2437 (CO town) stay in DS hands at the end of this turn.
I am really struggling to come up with bad news for the FP. The market prices went to 2 for food and leather, and the DS need the cash. The Misties are camped on most hexes. Argeleb is running out of new elf maidens who want to see his Rod, but Beawyn keeps dropping by. No, wait, that was Thrar…
Things do not look outrageously positive for the FP, and for that the DS get credit. But I think we are applying the consistent pressure we want against good opponents.
Shoo. Give me the guys with a sense of humour and the decency to declare themselves. Not the boors who sit mumbling in the dark for 16 weeks until finally they have some selfish accomplishment to crow over then appear. Begone, we’re here to cry and crow for the team. Notice the difference in signitures. pffft.
Although gents, now we know one more of our adversaries. Greetings to you for the first time JI.
Undoubtedly the DS were getting very discouraged up until now. A semblance of balance returning to the game. A turn with great results for them although I suspect not of their choosing. So far, the FP second guess nothing.
Unfortunately for us, it looks like you guys do not have to pay to build yourselves some good Acomms and agents. And fortunately for you, we are about to relieve the WK of much of his overhead costs. Sigh…
I don’t think “all of a sudden” is an accurate portrayal by any means, all your high fives and “we’re so awesome” posts on this thread to the contrary. It’s more a matter of, you FPs are just now seeing it.
I’m glad you finally put a navy into the RoC Curufin hex here on T7; we were beginning to wonder if it would stay wet all game. Considering we had it a/n on T1, if it hadn’t been in the water, it would’ve gone the same way as RoW, Tinculin, Collohwesta, Elenruth, et al. True we had a bad showing at the EMV hex, but even then, we investigated the same turn your guy did and croaked (we got his sword when we beat the S&W) so we just got the bad coin flip on that one as well. But I think I would gladly trade the EMV experience we had for the Gildor experience you guys had. <g>
Regarding WK, let’s see, T7 and I haven’t lost a starting popcenter. That’s not too shabby. Granted, you have retaken the WM town I captured, and I’ll lose the former Rhu pop this turn that’s now a camp. I guess that’s something to brag about. (?)
London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down,
London Bridge is failing down,
My fair lady.
And I don’t think that the Joint Eothraim-North Gondor Mountaineering Expedition is doing much better, either. I kept trying to tell them that they needed to make sure their troops were acclimated to prevent mountain sickness, but I couldn’t find anyone to deliver the message to in Minas Tirith. Nobody was home no matter how many doorbells I rang. I wonder why?
