well, the splat was intentional in the sense that if we didn’t win, at least we denied capital orders. but we did think on balance that we’d have troops on the ruins (barring sharp knives in the kidneys)
we figger’d it out, no problems there. it was always a “what they hell, gotta give the order” kind of situation for us, no? good work, nice to know that neither team is getting any freebies this game, yes?
selfishly, keep on with your southern plan. my map is always exciting, 1 page of excitment, nothing anywhere else for weeks and weeks it seems. oh yes, got a shiny thing. who’s idiot was that who died over there anyway? didn’t you lose a relatively important dude last turn? keep learning lessons this way, we like it…

We have gathered up almost every major artifact except for the one in the ocean, including challenging out one of your emmys at the Tinculin hex early on, and you want to brag about challenging out one of ours at the site of a minor mage artifact? LOL! Looking at my teammates maps though, I suppose that really is all the Corsairs have to brag about these days…

keep it relative drukar. corsairs have lost an mt and a t while taking 4 towns himself from the harad. you folks appear to have invested a lot of resources in the south with the whole “sacrifice the north and take the south” act. i advised earlier that i hope you were doing it properly. game 56 it’s being done properly, by this turn corsairs have 2 mt’s left and harad yet still mt’s on the north bank, etc. the south is not where you folks should be bragging…

no aspersions are being cast at the play of Harad. You are right that you got serious attention to North Harad right early. Very little you could do. agreed.
Brad’s point is that while there are a gazillion DS army icons on the CO map, not much has yet been accomplished in comparison to the level of effort expended against CO by the combined DS, and that Drew is crowing about it nonetheless…

Oh I’m not particularly crowing, just pointing out that veo/fax doesn’t have much room to crow himself about a Cs “triumph” in challenging out an emmy(guess you gotta try to find 'em where you can), compared to us challenging out your emmy at the Tinculin site.
And for the current state of the Umbar campaign, saying “not much has been accomplished” is far too static of a measure. Let’s see what happens over the course of the next few turns down there. An analogy would be if I tried to say, you guys haven’t accomplished much against the WK, just because I haven’t lost any popcenters yet…
Come now, perspective-free one. I’m crowing about killing someone because I have 27 icons descending on me, multiple agents and likely no help from nobody…! Add in the 4 Harad pops I took/destroyed compared to losing an entire 1 MT and 1 T thus far and, well, yeah… I assure you, as Corsairs/SG here and Harad in our other game (running in a few hours…) I’m damnably sick of this neck of the woods, but at least in my DS Turn 8 the Corsairs are obliterated with only 20/2339 remaining and Harad has yet 2 MT’s and 2 Towns on the North Bank, yes, all those other nations all came down… That’s what I meant in the begining and again now by “properly”.
Agreed on the North West (I’m Rhu there…sigh…). Yes, I expect we’ll both be refugees to some extent in the coming weeks, no?
