Hi Dave
I think the Sinda turn will make you smile. Yes the recruitment of dragons is quite well organized, but the real artform is to get them in right place in the right time - we must improve that part.

Ah Yes. Sinda turn in. Very acceptable turn. Finally some luck went our way, hope it is a sign of the future.
May the public executions begin, we need to show what happens to theives and murders.

Dear executioners
You do that, show the thieves the conquenses of their misdeads. The assassins and saboteurs will ofcourse pity them and go on with their asignments. Ringlin must be a bit disappointed, he holds Tinculin, ready to learn some nasty spells, but unable to do so, for the same reason it is quite hard to replace the dead chars. The thieves really did do a difference to the chance of recovering from the recent anti-Sinda campaign. The city of Dol Guldur is secured its further excistence by its size itself. With the Woodmen and Sinda severely weakened the Mines of Moria is the last resort of strength in the area, placing the heavy load of responsibility on the shoulders of the short ones. Will they be able to lift it or will they be flattened by it - only time can tell.
Guard your hostages well or they will escape your revenge, I will in turn hold on to my newly caught SG com, until a reasonable ransom is offered. Remember execution is the lowest form of revenge, killing an unarmed prisoner is for cowards - the smart ones sell them:D.

“Remember execution is the lowest form of revenge, killing an unarmed prisoner is for cowards - the smart ones sell them.”
I’m not sure I agree with the above thought, as it pertains to the Free Ones. While the market has been good to an impoverished Dark Servant Team and keeping you from bankruptcy, the Free on the other hand have actually been making sizable gains off your work. No real need for the cash in selling off prisoners of war, especially those who have the ability to escape one’s prisons. However Army commanders, emmissaries and mages are slightly different. I would agree that a sales strategy for those types of characters can be lucrative and honorable. NAY! NAY! The theives must die an awful death to demonstrate punishment for such crime. This isn’t revenge, but justice for those who commit the crimes of stealing and murder. If you must speak of cowards, preach to the cowards who hide in the shadows and stab in the back. Preach to those dark souls who do not have the honor to meet on the field of battle or in the challenge circle. Those are the true cowards of Middle Earth!!
The Dwarves of Middle Earth fight with such honor and determination. We have won and lost battles with honor, and honor the deathes of field generals Fulla and Bain, and the valiant small ones who gave their lives for the peoples of Middle Earth. We will take the heavy load the best we can.
Dwarf
Dear Dwarfies
You are thouroughly mistaken about my noble assassins, they have to travel in hostile lands, outwit and sometimes kill armed guards and brave the last obstacle who mostly ends up dead. It will never be cowardize to defend oneself against aggression and the so called Free Peoble have shown their hand, its conquest and destruction they deal in, subjugating the impoverished dwellers of barren wastes of Mordor is their goal. We only fight for the right to go on with our smelly way of life, your atrocities against the thieves however will not shake their resolve, they will only do theirs to hunt down the perpetrator. It seems that my assassins where well chosen, they are all alive and free, catch them if you dare.
Are the South Gondorians interessted in a deal or will they leave poor Haleth to a life of imprisonment?
Loke:D:D:D
Whoa mister Lokeman; take a step back into reality before calling assassinations a “noble” profession. It is one thing to be proud of your dirty work, but it is quite another to be delusional about it.
Dwarf
Hey Dave
Cut me some slack will ya, it is quite a hard job to have all those lives on ones blackened concience and to make it look like fighting for a just cause - ofcourse its the last part which is tricky, actually I rather enjoy the first part.
You all gonna die - Muhahahahaha
From the padded room at The Cloud Lord Assassin Academy and Asylum
Loke:D:D:D
Slack given of course, but your cause isn’t “just” really, it is in the servanthood of a pure evil entity. I guess if I were playing the Cloudie, I’d rebuttal to my comment that my assassins are following the will of the master and get to retain any loot off the carcus of the target. Booty is gain! Just wouldn’t use the words “noble” or “honorable” in my reteric.
Ok, back to thinking “Dwarven Empire”.
Dave
The problem with admiting to be evil is that you tell the truth, pure evil includes propaganda topped of with lies. Nobody buys it anyway, but they will know what youre all about.
Good luck with your turns tomorrow and may the Dwarven Imperial dream be as long as its inhabitants.
Loke:D:D:D
Aaargh - you villians, you killed Kadida in an extremely unfair challenge. Me thinks that revenge is unavoidable - that is at least 3 Arthedanies must die for this outrage. A perfect setting would be the Ruins of Umbar, but that is a bit out of the way. Now youre in the Mordordesert with 3 armies, what will they accomplish. My guess is that it just will run out in the sand and the entrance will be sealed tight once again, what a very clever rouse old Ren pulled of there:rolleyes:. The market still is ours despite your attempts to sabotage the buyout, better luck next turn. Bad luck for my agents this turn, but it happens once in a while.
Loke:D:D:D
Hehe - the first army has been flattened, poor Woodmen, they will also lose Buhr Widufiras soon. Mahrcared somehow survived the curses, too bad, we will get him sometime in future.
Loke,
I haven’t seen the NG turn yet, but it looked like we managed well that turn. Kadida’s crimes against Cirdan have been paid with his death. But please don’t blame the Arthedain for you lack of a refusal, challenges will be quite common for the Cloudie kin and all you have to blame is yourself for being greedy.
3 Agents dead this turn, hopefully a trend.
We have learned a bunch in the last ten turns, maybe the next 10 will get better for us? Your obscene luck has maybe come to an end?
Dave
Dwarf
In my profession there is no such thing as luck!
Simon
p.s. The obscene part is true though.
Maybe the game will have come to an end before that
And we werent lucky nor very wise this turn, IMO. The thing is that allthough agents matter at very great deal in this game, armies are what makes you win or loose in the end.
You havent any real threat in NW yet (even though playing 5½ against 2½), and woodmen, Eothraim and Corsairs are in army-terms “learning by losing”.
But freep- agenters will enter the game shortly, I guess. Waaaauuuuw.
Blondes have more fun…
Fubstein, I don’t know if you watch American football but your comment on the game ending was John Madden like. YES, the game will end sometime it is all but guarnteed.
FYI, my comments about learning was meant as a compliment, it is well known you learn more through trials and tribulation than anywhere else and your team has done a masterful job at creating learning opportunities.
Dave

Simon, are you a professional ME player? I guarntee you that there are random number generators used in ME’s code, so you might want to find a different profession if you put financial security in playing ME for a living. I for one find ME to be quite the cash black hole.
Dave
Well I’m really “clear” am I not? No, I dont know of John Madden (Thank god), but I think that Jesse Ventura would have made fun of my fortunecookie wisdom if it had anything to do with WWF.
Yes, greedy I am, but paying the price gracefully is not my way of handling the the Kadida incident. The revenge on the Arthedanies is sweetened by fact that he is a pita to me old mate Murazor, every dead Arthedain is met with his cheers.
My guess is that we took the Pirates with their pants down, he really didnt expect the 2000 QA hcav that made it possible to burn down his capitol.
The bungling and streak of bad luck around BU is hopefully a thing of the past, we really need some breathing space to arrange for a counterattack against North Gondor and the Donkeyriders. As for luck with agents; it is now harder to predict the chances of success, too many variables have come into play. Every dead agent will be replaced at once and their number and skill will only increase.
Loke:D:D:D
Corsairs were caught clearly exposed. We blame our inability to stop your market manipulation more than anything, otherwise you couldn’t afford those cav units. But don’t count those seadogs out yet, still a long way to go.
I’m sure you’ll be naming a Kadida replacement this turn; but we are just as happy to be using the Cloak of the Heavens vs. it being used against us. The Cirdan artifacts being returned is a bonus… Can’t stop your agents, only slow them down…

Question:
I am in another game and do dragons go to the highest challange rank of an army commander or total ranks (Comm+Agent+emmy+mage) of the army commander???
Another question - If I sold 4000x, how can there be less than that available in the market? This is about this game :-).
Thanks for your help on this.
John aka Arth/NM
Hi Dave
The dwarven bronze sell should have had a greater impact, but as you know there are countermoves to every countermove. You profit from the market too, so it isnt a onesided advantage:D. More DS troops means more battles which results in a more exciting game, its a win-win situation and prevents the game from being based too much on characters.
We figure it will take a some months to dislodge the naughty pirates, but it will be done none the less. Even with SG reinforcements he is being outnumbered by Harad and QA and his defeat is invitable.
In the NW things arent to our advantage, thats no surprise, Witchy and Rhudaur are slowly being reduced, all we can do is to slow you down and hope for the best.
